Cat 10.3 coming tomorrow

Does anybody know what fixes this new driver will contain? I really hope it resolves the issues of having two screens and being able to overclock as i'm fed up of running my 5770 at stock. Or is this just a performance booster now that fermi is on the horizon.

cheers for those links Leezy, it would seem these are primarily performance updates, there's no mention of fixing the bug that plagues users using a 5770 and 2 screens. :( i'm starting to regret buying this card.

have you tried different OC'in apps? dont see why 2 screens should be a problem. Theres quite a few updates to multi screen setups so they might just be stating the main updates your problem may still be covered.

One way to check.
Use a download manager, change 10.2 to 10.3

Powerplay messes up two screens as they clock too low, using eyefinity fixes the solution (I.E, it appears less clocks are needed for eyefinity than extension).

I have tried using CC and MSI afterburner but even if i shift my clock 1mhz i get screen flicker. On stock however completely fine.

I have read this and tried to use eyefinity but getting it to maintain the same functionality as an extended desktop is exremely difficult for example it is nigh on impossible to run a film in full screen mode in one screen and an internet browser in the other without bringing up borders etc around the film. If you know a way around this i'd love to know as this is driving me mad. The whole point in me buying the more expensive asus card is because it supports voltage tweaking otherwise i would have bought a cheapo one and stuck at stock.

Thanks for the help guys, last time i asked here i got nothing.

Have you tried overclocking with just 1 screen? if it does then you know its not the card and then can put it down to the driver/software issues.
That card go to at least 900mhz core.

oooops should have mentioned that with one screen i can go up to 1ghz on the core happy as larry, add second screen and i get screen flicker.

EDIT: it's more than liekly is the powerplay issue and eyefinity would fix it but getting it to function as it did previously with eyefinity is a pig, for example i can't maximise to one screen it goes across both which is of no use to me what so ever.

Iv never had any performance issues with any of the drivers............

I feel so left out by not being excited about this driver :( i will download and see what the fuss is about

I fixed that skippy by changing 2d clocks in bios to 400/1200. It flickers maybe once slightly every 5 mins now, however bc2 will flicker a little bit so i just disable the 2nd screen if im gaming.

And flashing the 3d clocks up

ill give it till 12. Iv not previewed the 10.3 so will i notice a increase in fps and smoothness ? because iv never had any problems before :(

lol doesn't sound like much of a fix to me, so essentially i am to invalidate the warranty i paid extra for then resetting my clocks to a new 2d one and a new 3d one (probably an overclock) and leaving it at that? and even then i may still get flicker. I may also have to disable my second screen when gaming too? Sounds a lot of hassle with a lot of side effects to get the clock up. Not worth it in my opinion as i like using my second screen whilst gaming as well. Cheers for the suggestion tho buddy but i don't really think it will work for my requirements.

I've raised the issue with amd so i'll see what i get back from them, if anything.

Still, I'll keep an eye on this and see what they offer my 4890

I tired the 10.3 beta for a day or to and i got significant boosts in Batman: AA and Assassins Creed 2. AC2 maxed with 8x multisampling i got 60 fps constant with V Sync on, went back to 10.2 and its a slideshow with 8x and even 4x.
