*** Final Fantasy XIII ***

Wait until you hit chapter 11, the game opens up immensely, i got there last night and it was actually a bit of a shock to the system as i was so used to just running down tunnels.

I like to call myself a huge final fantasy fan, but im afraid I just cant get into this one.
on chapter 8 now and I think il end up putting it on ebay :(

Too linear and just not what I was hoping for
Ended up buying a pspgo so I can start playing ff7 again

Same here, I got to chapter 6 and sold it.

Didnt like this at all:(

I am getting a headache looking at the weapon upgrade guide, it just seems way over the top in difficulty, now I am 'scared' to do anything only to find out 20 hours later I made the wrong choice and end up with a crap weapon :(

Anyone got any tips how to beat Chapter 10 boss ? :D Got him down to about 1/2HP but keep getting my ass handed on a plate :(

Just make good use of a Sentinel.

I took Light/Snow/Hope

First half of the fight is easy, when he transforms go to Delta attack and let Snow take the beating, use the one that is COM/SEN/MED to heal him up.

When he goes into Guard switch to Tri-Disaster (RAV/RAV/RAV) and drive his Stagger bar up, as soon as he leaves guard (or just before if you can time it right) switch back to COM/SEN/MED and let Snow take it.

Repeat until he's dead.

Is anyone else getting 5 stars pretty much all the time except in boss battles? Even against Behemoths i'm getting a good rating but as soon as a boss shows up i end up with 1 star. I just can't seem to get them to stagger, especially with an Eidolon.

I see a lot of posts about CP farming which I understand, but trying to find out how to get ultimate weapons I noticed that you also need millions of Gil, is there also a grinding spot to farm Gil?

You've gotta be kidding me - battles are rated now? It's not enough that you've pulled your ass through on a knife edge, now the game tells you how much you sucked? That is the most disappointing thing I've heard so far - I don't want to be rated, the same as I didn't ask for a rating at the end of the Devil May Cry levels. Do the ratings affect anything at all?

lol, how can you be so critical of something if you have no understanding of it!

a Full technique gauge launches eidolons or power techniques. I recommend you actually play before going off on 1 like you did in post #1592. as it makes complete sense.

Im not sure if its coincidence but im finding rarer stash drops with higher battle ratings too

Yep, thats no coincidence, the likelyhood you get rarer drops is higher with higher ratings, and also your TP gauge fills quicker the higher your rating.

Don't really see what the problem is with this... it helps you know if you are on the right track with your battles, i.e. if your rating is 0/1 stars you know you need to reconsider your battle tactics!

TBH i've found Eidolons to be pretty much useless and have very very rarely used them.

Useless when it comes to extra damage, but they are an absolute life saver if you can actually remember to use them in time and if you have enough TP left to summon them. A few times where my entire party is almost dead or few have died and there I am panicking thinking what the hell to do, or waste time using a Phoenix Down/Raise, when all I could easily have done is summoned an Eidolon to cheat death.

Ooo apparently if you register your 360 copy of the game you get a PSICOM avatar outfit :D

Might bother registering it now :D
