Afternoon,

Just started watching this (3rd season) after being recommended after I finished The Wire and I have to say that I am enjoying it more. I don't think I have ever been so gripped by a TV show before but seems little known, especially compared to The Wire. Anyone else a fan?

I didn't think they would be able to better the end of season 1 but they did with season 2 if not in a slightly disturbing fashion! The characters are awesome, much more so than The Wire.

Where do I go after I have finished Oz? May try The Sopranos.

Did the same once i finished OZ everything else just seemed poor, then i started the sopranos!

Shame its not that well know, i remember it being on C4 years ago!

Oz is epic.

Gets pretty **** from the 5th season on if I remember correctly though.

Definitely watch the Sopranos though - Generation Kill and The Corner are good mini-series as well if you're stuck. They only run for 1 season though.

i remember this being on C4 at 1 am about 5-6 years ago maybe longer. Me and a few mates would watch it after some beers and rate everyone out of 5 for toughness. Eventually everyone had some action so it was great to see a 2 v a 4.

And the irish guys brother, ( the one who was a bit mental) was the only guy we rated a 5

great show

Do any other prison dramas of any quality exist?

I hope Schillinger meets his up commence in Season 3 the ****. :p

Don't spoil it for me!

Best drama show ever! Loved every second of all 6 seasons and there are about 56 x 1 hour episodes. I've been nagging my nephew to watch it for a long time, I gave him the whole show on DVD's ages ago.

Yeah Oz is quality, forgot all about it!

I wouldn't go as far as saying it was better than The Wire, because nothing is, but it's one of the best series I've watched.
