Time off for the world cup

if it wasnt so expensive to go over and watch the games id have given it a thought, but id rather save towards a property at the mo, in the future I will do a world cup though...
Its slightly more than a game of football, its lots of games of football, and the coming together of nationalitys with a shared passion, carnival atmosphere with much more than just the games happening.

Some responses here are amusing, I would imagine a few of the people here would take days off when a new game was released, or they were having new components delivered.

It's only football, I rather use my holiday entitlement for something else, ie holiday :)
This.

Or as known as "I take time off work for something meaningful".

I can't stand how some people are over football, the fights some of them cause, and there's something fundamentally wrong about grown men crying over a game. (not saying you all do it, but I Know of some people that do cry over football).

Yer but I am not so sure what weeks I should take off

thinking def the first friday of the tournament but then what weeks would you take off?

week 1

or week 4?

I get quite a large amount of annual leave and have already been on holiday and had a few trips to Plymouth and yet still have 10 or so days left due to run out in July so might as well use them to watch football.

I like to watch some of the matches (specifically england ones) in the safety of my local pub.

Unfortunately my local doesnt have a telly box in there anymore, the landlord took the whole lot out when Sky put their prices up again.

So i will watch whatever i can from the comfort of my home, wouldnt take holidays for it mind as i am not a massive football fan.
