Nokia N900

Recieved by nokia a week last Friday. No progress made.

My micro-usb didnt actually fall out, just stopped working. Apparently Nokia are sending refurbs out at replacements at the minute too, so I'll be going over mine with a magnifying glass when it arrives. Not massively worried though, mine had a wee scratch on the metal screen surround, so if the one I get back doesn't, I'll be happy.

Is it bad that I'm more annoyed that I'll have to buy another order another Invisi-shield, than I am about not having the phone for over a week and a half?

Might sell it when it gets back tbh, if they're going to take this long on fixing the USB problem, and its a common issue, I really don't want to have to go through this nonsense again.

I just got mine back, turnaround of 5 working days - not bad. I have a refurb/new unit it seems which is good as I had dropped mine a few times. Still might sell, but what the h to get!?

Nothing for me, 2 weeks now. Nokia can go stuff themselves tbh. I'll probably pick up some Android phone instead, free voice turn by turn navigation? Yes please.

See the way I have this phone on a Contract, it doesn't matter if I sell it does it, as long as I keep paying the rest of the contract?

If you are referring to Google Nav, then I have some bad news for you...

And I have good news, it works perfectly fine on any EU Milestone using a hacked version of the Maps app. I use it myself. :)

I had trouble updating to this, apparently there wasn't enough memory. Had to disable all the catalogues in the application manager in the end.

Also had trouble installing Sygic maps. but when i finally got the update working it was pretty simple. Now allows .deb files to be installed through apps manager by just opening the file.

Not really needed to use Sygic maps yet, and only got experience with tomtom. But it seems ok, nothing bad to report at least yet. Picked up my position almost instantly too which surprised me.

Just awaiting the delivery of my Brodit holder now.
