I never break the speed limit and certainly don't race anyone at traffic lights. If you think it's OK to do that you need a reality check. It's way too easy to kill someone, even if they're not on the road. There have been two fatalities due to excess speed and lapses in concentration in my local area in the recent past, one an 8 year old girl and one a teenage boy. Neither did anything to deserve losing their life, but some people who think the road is a playground must believe it's OK to risk it, or be plain stupid. With all the cameras it's also very easy to be caught now too, and I think the punishments should be harsher, with more introduction of average speed cameras to stop the crazy driving around the gatso cams, where people slam on the brakes at the last minute and aren't concentrating on the road.
This is why I wonder sometimes how obsessed people on here can be about performance of their cars when they mostly just commute to the office in them. Unless you're running it on the track from time to time, it's really not going to be worth getting a performance car unless you live near some great roads.
Also, bikers don't do themselves any favours, most seem to be impatient idiots, though thankfully they're most likely to hurt themselves and not others.
If you can't drive a car responsibly, I think it should be taken away from you until you've grown up. I know I sound like a stuck up ***, but if you look at this objectively you'll see racing or being stupid on the roads just isn't worth it, and it's essentially a selfish act with no regard for others. It's certainly never worth someone's life.
