Temps with H50

Just an update to this thread after all my troubles. Thankfully things seem to be all good now. My first gfx card was RMA'd, the bundle RMA'd with RAM replaced, bundle RMA'd again and was given a new CPU. It seems the first CPU was dodgy so there maybe wasn't too much wrong with gfx or RAM.

I'm happy thats it's working well now but just wanted to check what temps should be.

When I boot up the machine temps range from around 38-43ish. The room is quite warm and normal idle temps are around 40-45. Is this slightly high?

I played a few hours of Dirt2 last night and temps never went above 55 but when running FSX then max out at about 65.

Are these still a little high? I have 2x120mm front intakes, 1x140mm roof exhaust, 1x120mm exhausting from h-50.

The H50 performs no better than air cooling, I imagine under load it'll be 40 to 50 over ambient.

Intel burn test is fairly reliable, if it's telling you the machine is unstable it probably is. The odd bug has come up, one of the previous versions would error immediately if you told it to use 8 threads.

Glad it seems to be stable now

IBT runs fine now and the system stability is no longer an issue thankfully. I just used about a rice grain size of mx-3 before connecting H50. Maybe this isn't the best way to apply paste but don't want to have to redo it!

Those temps look fine to me now, I really wouldn't worry about it anymore. As long as it's stable and the loads temps aren't ridiculously high just enjoy your gaming - that's why you bought it in the first place :)

Excellent. Definitely am enjoying it for sure. Dirt2 online is just awesome.

I'm happy enough for the temps never to go above 60 but thought they might have been slightly higher than expected.
