Jedi Knight Wins Apology

It's a religious symbol, like a cross for christianity. I gorget what it actually symbolizes though.

Right, so it's a symbol. Since it's apparently not meant to be used as a weapon is there any reason it actually has to have a blade? It could just be a handle attached to a scabbard, and then it wouldn't be a knife, no stupid religious exemptions would need to be made and it would look exactly the same.

It is NOT an offensive weapon, very FEW Kirpans worn in this country actually have LIVE blades.

By not live do you mean blunted or absent?

Cause even a completely unsharpened knife still has a point and it's not that hard to force a thin bit of unsharpened metal through someone's belly :p

You're right though, there has been no issues with sheiks carrying them as they're one of the few religions who actually seem to practice what they preach (No violence unless it's absolutely necessary for defence). :)

They did damn good in the war too :D

is it any more dangerous than to stab someone with a car or house key? being stabbed with a blunt object would be quite painful IMO. or a fork or a table knife?

at the end of the day it may seem, odd, that someone can pull this stuff...but as no religion has any more solid basis than another, how can you discredit one and not the rest for anything at all?

none of the main 3-4 are based upon tangible proof, therefore why should they be given more credance than something created yesterday? afterall, all religions were created 'yesterday' the day after it was created...

If he was a real jedi he should have played a jedi mind trick on him
security guard : sir can you please remove your hood
Jedi : *waves hand* Your hood is nice, keep it up
Security guard : Your hood is nice, keep it up

yes

A 3" + blade being rammed into your abdomen will do much more damage than a key.

Jedi is the 4th largest religion in this country :D

i just measured my car key its just under 2" long and has a serated edge. the difference is there but its not huge now is it?

i could bring up a pen, standard biro is about 5inches in length. yet there is no ban on carrying biros to my knowledge. just a random observation...

well kudos to the Jedi's, if it has so much support, then clearly the rights of those included should be protected just as much as those in the top 3 religions?

Great........

Christian: "Aha!!! FEAR my Cross!!!11......Oh **** he's got a knife!!! :eek::eek::eek:

So Christians get a silly Cross, and Sikhs get a friggin knife! Bah!

:p

Since when to be part of a religion do you need to be able to do what happens within that religion?

Take Jesus as said before, he did all these amazing things, yet no one else has done them, and they are not being victimised and being told they cannot be Christian because they cannot walk on water etc...

Jediism is no different, unless of course within the written description it states that you must be able to use the 'Force' as it is described WITHIN said religeon / belief...Not how it is described in a book.

See the difference? Jesus apparently did all these amazing things....And so did Yoda etc  Doesn't mean they actually happened ;)

Unless of course you are this guy...

Whoa, wait a minute. I saw Yoda take on Dooku with my own eyes.
