Pervoskite.

Avaliable in The Motherlode for 30,000 gill.

But as I mentioned before, I hope you have plenty more components to upgrade it once it is transformed.

Good thing I made some extra savegame files as I went back and checked on it myself.

The Flameberge, which is what the Blazefire Saber will transform into, needs to be at least Level 20+ to be equal and pass the stats of the previous weapon (Level 26 Blazefire). Luckily when you transform the Blazefire Saber to the Flameberge, it starts at level 10, but you will need a crap load of components to get it up there. Gonna be a long way till level 61 which is the max out cap for this weapon.

Just as an test and idea, Flameberge level 10 to level 22 which I got it up to, required 55 Crankshafts and 10 Perfect Conductors, and this is with the 3x bonus applied twice.

I suggest using Turbojet when it has x3 multiplier and stick loads on will provide more xp points than the crankshafts or has been doing for me =)

Well ive been farming allot in chapter 9 leaving it till tommorow now must have got way over 300k but been spending it on items etc Fang/Hope weps are level 26 but i need their catalyst to transform them so some mroe farming for moola tommorow i think.

Ive also managed to max out all the characters crystanerium well when i say all i mean all the ones you have access to in chapter 9 which is Light/Fang/Hope/Snow

Actually Crankshaft has slightly more exp than the Turbojet, but then of course Crankshaft also has slightly more deduction in bonus multiplier, but either way, both don't make THAT much of a difference as they cost the same as each other in the shops, and with the insane amount that one would use to upgrade, you would need to constantly keep building up the multiplier bonus anyways.

EDIT - Just checking the guide,

Crankshaft 215 exp, -47 multiplier
Turbojet 212 exp, -46 multiplier

So yeah, not exactly that much different when they both cost the same as each other.

Cool I got it wrong then oh well i blame bit of tiredness :P Were abouts are you then Phatjayunoi

Still on Chapter 9 myself, but farming in a different spot, i.e. just before the inevitable boss battle. Very nice looking area, but not as great as the awesome External Berths and Crew Corridoor areas, but then I already spent over 20 hours there farming and upgrading enough things, so I felt like progressing a little bit more.

You do realize the 20 hours spent farming in those areas could be condensed into only an hours work later on in the game? For example there's an area in chapter 11 that gives you tens of thousand of crystal points with less than 10 mins work.

Nothing major to be missed no, tbh i don't know of anything that's miss able. Even the godlike weapons can be bought from the store if you miss the treasure orb. All i can think of is the easily obtainable credit chips that can be sold for a premium which are scarce later in the game, however from what i understand much more lucrative ways of making money become available in later chapters.

I'm nearing the end of Chapter 11, i now view everything before chapter 10 as just a massive tutorial now tbh. Single skill orbs in the crystal grid yield a greater stat increase than entire rings of orbs did before that chapter.

Actually it's more about the Incentive chips and making lots of Gill. CP wise it doesn't matter as all my characters have unlocked everything they can at the current stage. And besides, this is how I play, I ALWAYS grind/farm in certain safe spots no matter how pointless and wasteful it could be for others.

I'm in no rush to finish the game as I already know how everything pans out from playing/watching/helping with the Japanese version beforehand.

I get the feeling I'm doing something wrong here. I'm at Chapter 9, and my highest upgraded weapon is level 3 :P I can't seem to afford to upgrade anything though, the most I've had is about 6,000 gil.

have you been avoiding fighting? i havent missed a single enemy yet, apart from those big green armadillo things because i was way too weak. Ive only upgraded lightenings weapon to helter skelter lv29, everyone elses weapon is lvl 1. You need to grind a lot if you want to upgrade the weapons i guess

Nope, fought everything... wait no, I did avoid a couple of monsters. When you enter some area and it tells you "Up ahead is some super hard monster that will be very difficult to kill with two people." I still killed it, but it took about 5 minutes. Then I kill the next one as there was an orb next to it, but avoided the other two. Everythings been okay though, can't say I've had much trouble - only trouble I had was against one of the types of bikes with the gattling gun (not in Sentinel mode when it hits = dead).

At about Chapter 4 I used pretty much everything I had to upgrade the weapons my guys were using to level 3 for each. After that, I've not upgraded at all and haven't sold anything.

Answer is a bit cloudy, avoiding spoilers :)

ive also got light with lvl 36 heltaskelter and all my others on lvl 1 apart from hope who is only around lvl 4 and im doing ok.

26 hours in and just bumped into some guy snow knows but had to turn it off before finding out who he was as my 2yr old daughter wants tinkerbell on... Its official though - im addicted, just finished a 12 hour night shift and instead of coming in and going to bed, like normal, i got an hour in before everyone woke up, although the fact i polished off a full 12 cup pot of coffee at work might have somthing to do with my lack of tiredness.

Also using a team of light/snow/hope as i think it gives a better all rav team and snow is still a good com maybe not on par with fang but works better with my tactics.

This farming situation? I am coming to the end of Chapter 7 and as yet have found no areas to farm anything? nothing respawns, is this something that comes later on?

Well if your on chapter 7 their is an area you can farm however id just wait until chapter 9 as this is were you can rack up tons of gil which is my reason for doing it but also CP if you need to.

chapter 9 is popular is there is a lot of chips about that can be sold for decent gil, if you run off a distance and return a lot of monsters (if not all except guardians) are respawned

Got the Chocobo yesterday!!! I think that is the easiest way to make money without fighting enemies as he finds lots of hidden treasure for you in the Large plains in Chapter 11.
