Macbook Pro - buy now, or wait?

The thing I want to know is why are Apple so good at preventing leaks?, If they are about to release a new product surely there must be loads of people in the production and supply chain who would know?. Every other manufacturers products have little snippets leaked all the time.

im honestly about to just give up on this and go with another manufacturer. will i miss OSX ? probably but theres no software i use that wont run on windoze and thats where i spend most of my time rather than spending it clicking through OS folders/windows

Few guys on Mac rumours are speculating the leak might mean the new products are due in the next few weeks.

So do I. Until the messiah gets his fat iPod Touch physically launched I'd wager the MP/MBP refresh is lower down the pecking order.

I have said it before... this is waiting on NVidia OPTIMUS technology to be implemented on the Mac.

I expect it will be post ipad launch - possibly as late as June.

I'm just waiting to see if work lets me keep my work laptop as part of my redundancy else I be getting a MBP, likely a 13.3 one.

I tend to find the best time to pick up a mac is after the new range comes out as you can save a lot getting one of the previous range, as the new ones will only be out in about 6 months time anyway.

Seems to be true. Work were advised no deliveries of Lenovo laptops before May due to component shortages. Lenovo have just flipped to the new i5/i7 chips on the T-series

something is happening as pc world have only got the low end ones left and the 17" top end is showing as out of stock and my local store could not explain why

Their stock control is laughable. The store have no idea what's coming in until the truck arrives. DSG have been pushing the old model range out at big discounts via the internet sites in the last couple of weeks. Someone in Hemel probably finally wised up and didn't re-order so they don't get left with a load of stock they can't sell at a profit.
