Possibly my shortest foray into BC2 yet! About a minute, killed someone, and the good old noise of looping sound. My computer takes so long to restart due to my slow ass OS drives it's not even worth bothering to risk a game. I'm gonna pick up a PCI-E soundcard as a few people on the EA forums have reported this has alleviated the issue. I wouldn't be so miffed if the BETA was the same but it was solid as a rock for me!

Well i enjoyed that, most ive played since i got the game but its was a canny night, had some good games so any one i was playing with, cheers!
 
Changes:
• Server browser downloads 100 entries instead of 500 in a chunk – this makes the “Cancel” button more responsive
• Fixed crash during server browser refresh
• Low-level networking library switched back to the optimized version (the game client was temporarily running with one that had more debugging logic in it)
• Localization fixes in the scoreboard

Can't say i'm too impressed with BC2, i miss the small things like prone and leaning round corners and i dislike the fact anything you shoot basically turns to rubble.

But you get to blow **** up!!!!!!!!!!!

Better than firing huge shells at buildings, only having the 10cm brick walls act as force fields protecting the hapless chumps inside.

Plus you can tackle the campers in the most satisfying way possible.

About to order a an ATI 5770 - Worth it with a 3ghz E6300 + 4gb ram at 1680x1050, as my 8800gt is dead and the X1900xt struggles to make it playable on the lowest settings ????????????
 
I got two headshots with one bullet last night when playing as a sniper. What made it even more sweet was the fact that they were going full speed on a boat, straight towards me, but still, I was quite chuffed :)

I think my friend (also a sniper) may have taken some health off one of them just before I fired, which must have helped.

Battlefield never had leaning round corners. You won't miss prone once you've played it longer and start to appreciate the game for how awesome it is.

Battlefield never had leaning round corners. You won't miss prone once you've played it longer and start to appreciate the game for how awesome it is.

I know it never, i just miss it in general. It's two of the little things i like in FPS games.
 
Had a good game on OcUK BFBC2 Server, last night, a couple moments that made me cry with laughter:

1) frenchtart's helli SKIZZ
2) Everyone being asked to balance the teams and practically everyone switching team
3) Having flanked the defenders MCOM and using a mounted machine gun to try to hold them off the MCOM, a sniper spotted me, bam headshot, immediately the medic behind me revives me, bam headshot... (7 deaths in ~50secs)

That's why I normally run away screaming whenever someone asks me to pilot a chopper :p
