Eye Infinity questions

Do all video cables 2xDVI and 1xDisplay Port have to be the same length to avoid any possible latency issues?

If you have eye infinity enabled do you always have to run games across all three monitors or can you still play games at standard 1920x1200 as though you have just one monitor?

Does eyeinfinity effect normal 2d windows usage in anyway?

Once you've played games across three monitors is it hard to go back to just a single monitor?

1, no.

2, you can put it into 1920x1200, the side screens will turn off

3, your desktop stretches across all 3, which is a bit annoying but you get used to not maximising :)

4, impossible, can't stand it on one now!

Erm, dont know how to answer that cable size length question.. ?!?!

But:

If you have eye infinity enabled do you always have to run games across all three monitors or can you still play games at standard 1920x1200 as though you have just one monitor? - Why enable eyefinity if your not using it? Just disable it.

Does eyeinfinity effect normal 2d windows usage in anyway? - Yes, your resolution is maximised on your machine for all computer usage, being 2d windows.. 3d graphics.. it just enables your GPU to goto higher resolutions over multiple monitors, isn't application specific afaik.

Once you've played games across three monitors is it hard to go back to just a single monitor? - I'd imagine so. You'll be used to having that specific resolution and would feel "smaller" when going back to one monitor, that would happen with all things like that though, try gaming for a week on a 52" tv then use a 19" lcd..

Because for some games like crysis it may be better to play on one monitor and have a higher fps than across three with a much llower

Does that mean if you have an app on your center monitor and maximise it it will automaticaly maximise across 3 monitors as opposed to just maximising to the center monitor?

Has no one ever seen Hydravision (i think its called?).
It comes with CCC, you can set up grids so it will maximise it to specific places, such as 1 monitors.

If you dont want to use eyefinity you can either disable it or just put a single monitor resolution in (eg. 1680x1050), and this will run 3 duplicate games on all 3 screens, so you just need to turn them off.

Coming from someone who has used eyefinity since launch, it is very hard sometimes to play games without eyefinity.
Although after you've got past the initial wow factor you do realise some games are a tad better or easier to play on one monitor, for example when the problems of eyefinity outweigh the positives.(UI scaling, uncorrect FOV, -vert etc)
