Help with New Car

Could you guys help me with the options I have for my second car

I am 18 year old holding a clean licence for 6 months
Live in the middle of nowhere and the car is garaged over night

The car i currently have, thanks to donation of parent, is a Vauxhall Meriva Design 1 .4 55plate

For whatever I can sell the car for could you show me what i could get

I am getting rid basically because of the size

My guess is that he thinks the Meriva is too big and wants something smaller like his mates.

EDIT: Since i don't normally keep an eye on the used prices of the Vauxhall Meriva, i'll have to believe Parkers price of around £3.5k.

Anyway, what are you looking for in a car? Speed? Comfort? MPGz? Looks? What kind of age? Mileage?

its much bigger than a corsa, the length is much much bigger, to put it into perspective it has two sunroofs

that is one of the newer shaped corsas, i am talking of one of the older models, with one of those probably being in my price range

No its not, its the Corsa C, the model before the current one.

Wow ...my last car was over 5m long and the one I have now is about 4.8 and I still think it feels like a go-cart ... driving one under 4m must be an experience. I have before of course but not for a long, long time.

The Meriva is a tiny little thing, not really sure how you'll get something much smaller.

Out of interest how do you feel about the previous shape (2002-2008) fiesta?

You don't get a lot smaller to be honest. You'll save a whopping 20cm by going to a 'supermini' corsa/fezza etc.
Is there any particular reason you want to save 20cm of metal? A teeny tiny driveway/garage for example?

You say you live out in the middle of nowhere, you must have loads of room . Get a big american barge and waft about in the countryside .

Yea that's kinda of it really, it's already a very small car, not sure what you could get that is smaller but has a big boot.

The 2002-2008 fiesta is a whopping 120mm shorter than the Meriva.

Dont get a Corsa though, Fiesta is a much better car
