Living Alone

Who makes tea for the next day

It's wise when living alone. Especially with stuff like chilli con carne and shepherds pie (basically anything thing mince, coz it 'keeps' well).

Beware to not lose house keys and make sure you keep the place spotless. My apartment gets inspected on Friday to see if i get my deposit back and i'm a little worried tbh. Wish i'd taken more care when inviting people to parties....hehe.

Good luck and make the most of it!

The closest I have come to living alone is uni halls and I much preferred living in a house with a couple of friends. It can lead to arguments sometimes but as long as there are only 2 or 3 people I think it is better just for someone to watch a bit of TV with and have dinner and of course share council tax.

even if I could easily afford it I wouldn't bother unless I had no choice.

However thinking it is dull at home when your parents are out is too far!!!

You could be as messy as you want. :)
Although you might end up eating scrambled egg, from a boot, with a comb.

Haha yeah watch Black Books for how not to keep your house clean :p

I personally love living alone :) so stress free in terms of not having to tip toe around someone having a bad day or being kept up at night with loud music, or having food go, or coming home to a sink full of other peoples dishes etc.

I could never go back to sharing.

Pros - Own space, do whatever you want whenever

Cons - Can get lonely if you are the type of person who is used to having others around

At the end of the day its up to you, I have a flatmate but she's away a lot and when she is she's normally doing her own thing and not bothering me anyway which is great  Although I do get shouted at when I'm playing BC2 at 3AM and screaming at my PC :p

I'm just currently thinking about getting my own place. Always lived my parents, but for the last year I've thought about moving out, and I will soon have my finances sorted out, so will be able to do so. Just a little worried I won't like being on my own.

But on the other hand, I have shared a bedroom with my brother for the last 12 years, and i hate it!

Would you recommend paying a little extra for a 3 month contract first off, and see if I like it?

Its ok for about a week then it gets boring fast. I was living along for around 2 months a while ago. Luckily I had lots of mates living close by.

It does force you to get out more

Thanks for all the opinions guys, expected the fapping comments but who wouldnt? :D

Think I'll go ahead and live on my own, 6 month contract on a place and see how it goes, sounds wayyy more upsides that moving home.

So so far, fap, walk round starkers, game, iron?, :p

Haha That summarises this thread awesomely

living alone would be boring imo.

ive lived at uni, in canada, in a 4 person house, and now in a 2 person house.

living with mates is best, 2-3 mates is ideal. but choose your mates wisely.

I lived alone a few years ago for just under a year but had to move back home as I was spending more than I was earning :( I absolutely loved living alone and it gave me a real sense of independence. My mates came up a few nights a week so I was never completely alone.

I would do it all over again if I could afford it.
