Yeah, screw all this talk of Fermi. Nothing like a good sit down in the park now the weather is getting nice. Maybe get a cup of tea in there too! :)
Maybe even feed the ducks....?!?!?!?!?!?!?!??!!? :O:O:O:eek::eek::eek:

I think that article says all we need to know about fermi. I think if anyone knows about fermi amd most likely do. If all they are going to do is add 50 mhz to the core and 200mhz memory speed to the 5870 then fermi can't be that fast. The gtx480 will most likely be all show but be out of stock every where. The part amd will be thinking about is the gtx470 which will be the volume part but no where near as fast as the gtx480 and probably slower than the 5870 at around the same price.
 
mmm sitting out in the sun with a cuppa tea, few beers and a BBQ (powered by fermi) that would be good stuff. heres hoping to a good summer!
 
Its been a long wait indeed.

Cant wait to see how they compare to the 5870 and then make a decision which dx11 card to go for but I know I will end up waiting for 6000 series :S
 
if it were me and my gfx card was months overdue, really would send some out before release to get the benchmarks going and build some hype rather than this holding breathe malarky. fed up with waiting need to replace these 8600's
 
I thought it'd been fairly widely reported that the Fermi cards would be available 6th April ~1 week after the (paper) launch. So either its one or two token Fermi's or its the ATI counter card..... or Fatboy just has something in his eye.

Good job i use feser 1 instead of water then :P

Its a prime time for me drain my loops, re paste my mobos stupid heatsink rubbish that probably doesnt even have paste judging my its temps, and change colors from blue uv and green uv (intel/nvidia) to Black/blue UV and red (matches my case more, cba with color coding my tubes anymore).

Although, I do want tri SLI with them, I will probably just get 2 480s now, wait for EK blocks and get a 3rd then, if they are single slot blocks. As otherwise I cant fit my Xonar in as well. Although by then I might just get ****ed off and go I7 or something.


Edit: Just got a response from EK. Blocks are 100% going to be single slot and should be around in middle of april.
