Paranormal Activity

There was a scene where the "demon" slams the door shut and then hammers on it from the other side as if it is trying to get in. This makes no sense because we already know that it can open and close the door whenever it wants to. So why close a door just to hammer on it from outside?

:p

I think you're looking at it too logically, the demon is tormenting the girl, if he wanted to harm them in some way then I'm sure he could have done right from the start. In fact the exorcist chap says something like the demon 'feeds off' bad feelings, so I imagine the torment night after night is what it needed to do to be able to take control of her towards the end.

The original ending isn't really all that to be honest. I did enjoy parts of the film though, especially when he drags her off the bed and down the hallway. :D

The one where something is thrown across the room? Or the one with the police? I prefer the one with the police.

I can see why they changed the ending to the release one, as it does leave the door nicely open for a sequel.

3 Endings:

1. Katie kills Micah. She then cuts her own throat.
2. Katie kills Micah, then 2 days later, her friend comes around, finds Micah dead, calls the cops. The cops come, see Katie moving towards them with knife in her hand. They kill her - 2 shots to the chest.
3. (Theatrical ending) Micah is killed and his body is thrown at the camera. Katie, then looks menacingly into the camera before dissapearing.

Just watched this now - very underwhelmed, especially as I had hyped the movie up in my head. Working my way through the Bloody Disgusting Top 20 Horror Films of the Decade.

Next up - The Mist!

Su

Did you watch it alone, in the dark?

This film scared me big time. But had someone else been in the house, it would've lost its effect completely. In a cinema, this film would've been pointless as there are too many other people around you.

Watching a lot of things alone and in the dark can be unsettling - that shouldn't be a prerequisite for making a film artificially feel scary!

Good for you if you liked the film, but I thought it sucked.

:o

Watched this, enjoyed it quite a bit really :)

I liked how it was filmed, how stuff happened, however the guy was a total douchebag really... :p

Be nice to see the alternate endings and missed 'parts' just to see what it was like

I'd recommend it if you like this sort of thing...my GF on the other hand would have nightmares

What? It's a film, you're not supposed to be 'believing' it. Enjoy it for what it is.

Indeed...People cannot do this anoymore for some reason...its odd I find

seen this last nite, well made for the budget they used and a good story but I couldn't believe how bad it was.

Bad? Compared to some 'holly wood' films the filming is far better :p

Thought this movie was very disappointing. Worse than The Blair Witch Project.

Really? I mean....Really???

The blair witch project was tatty, not that amazing, acting was terrible, and to top it off having someones snotty dripping nose into the camera is not that great

Yeah really. It was all hyped up to be really scary but I sat thru it all and when it finished I was like, wtf, is that it?

Movies like this only work the first time you watch it. I tried watching it a second time and found it boring as hell. The first time I watched it I thought it was really good.

Still nothing on the Blair Witch.
