Just had some awesome games on the nM server. came 4th i think, deffinately getting good at the game now, took its sweet f'ing time haha. really good fun once you get the hang of it.

I know the multicore usage in DX10/11 is fine but Shouldn't it load balance over all 4 cores instead of max out one?

I'm sure the game used to be 2 cores @ around 60-75% before but only just checked although this was before the updates!

Still, runs well enough.
 
it wasnt lucky earlier though when everyone elses was up :( luck of the draw really . bet theyve done it so at least theres some up to please the players while they fix part problems instead of taking everything down and having mass rage up

Your 4th core might be so high because system processes etc are being run on it, I see you have a v.decorated sidebar :p

As i said tho yours its up lucky you, ours has been down since 5.30pm

We have by far had the worst luck! If our server didn't crash we'd prob have a full server day and night, ours like to crash early in the morning. Thismorning it was full up to 5.30am then BAM! good night thanks for coming... had a guts full!

You should count your self lucky you havn't had half the problems we've had!
 
hopefully it will be sorted soon and well have all servers up all the time. like a lot of the big games they go through there teething problems at start and to be honest it is not that bad compared to other games ive played.

whens the next two maps out is it monday ?
 
Regarding the CPU usage on the fourth core, i originaly thought the same.

but i later found out that EA dice use Software for the sound, and it has been set to use a dedicated core just for the sound. This allowed them to make it such good sound effects. that is why duel core is a requirement for this game, because 1 core is always processing the sound.

Thought id let you know.

Never going to be anywhere near likely heh, sidebar.exe uses 0.6% CPU (over all cores, not just one core) at the very most and none of my background resources ever consume more than that either!

Ah that explains it and I have no problems with that :p I'd rather they dedicate sound processing to a core than none at all :D (or use EAX!!!)

Im having withdrawl symptoms from not playing on your server lol, its the only server i play on :(
 
awesome ggs in the OCUK server tonight, cheers guys. Scary moment just now as the server went down and my stats showed level 1 :eek:

I adjusted my FOV right down to 60 tonight and now i can actually aim :eek: i got constant positive ratios, better than when FOV was 84 and nearly always sitting around the 0.8 mark.
 
At what resolution is that? My FOV is at 80 at present, I seem to prefer a wider view!
