** Steam Weekend: Torchlight £3.75 **

Been playing it for the last 2 hours and its quite fun. You can assign spells to your right and left mouse buttons and switch between them with easy as well making it very simple to play from a control standpoint. When you fill your bags full of rubbish you can offload it onto your pet and get them to take it to a vendor and sell it for you which is stupidly useful.

Bargain for the price

I DLed the demo, loaded it up, thought "I don't think I like this" then spent an hour not liking it. :-)

I still think I don't really like it... yet somehow my explore gland is stimulated by this silly, but nicely put together, little title. I guess for a silly little price it's probably worth putting on the list of games I probably won't play all the way through. :-)

I did the same thing but with a pirated full version. Decided i might not like it since i didn't realise the demo and went about playing it till the next Steam sale a couple of weeks later ><

There are so many mods available for it. Ones that take skills beyond lvl10 are good. Plus i changed a few files (with help of the skillleech mod because it conflicts) to give them life steal. Also altered the duration of several spells myself.

Aside from the obvious auto-ID mod and stack size... which are necessary for continued sanity. As is the gem icon mod.

It's a small download because the levels are randomly generated.

The demo is the full game, buying it just unlocks it but also allows you to carry on from where ever you got to in the demo and with that character too, if you want.

I bought it in the Christmas sales, having never played Diablo or anything similar and found I really liked it. Well worth it at that price.

A few mods you should install if you get the game are:

Torchleech
Enhanced Textures
Respec Mod
Ihatefishing
Better Balanced Sale Prices
Small Floaty Text
Potions Maxstacksize Mod
Items Always Identified

There are tons but these are the few I wouldn't want to play without. Small changes but can make a big difference.

This game is definitely worth it at £3.75, once I start playing I can't seem to stop! (Well I do eventually, but it takes a while). If anyone is thinking about buying it, go for it :)

Torchlight is one of the few games thats been released recently thats worth its full retail price. So at £3.75 this game is a super bargain.

It gets better, think I've got mine up to around lvl 25 and he looks awesome with the mad armour and the massive glowing swords :)

I saw this on Steam but didn't give it much thought. However, as I loved Diablo and there are so many positive comments I think I will have a go. Need a game to play too.
