Lol well I don't get any crash to desktops but I do find sometimes that the BF2BCGame.exe doesn't close when I quit the game and as such if I play later a new instance starts up (and ails to close from task manager again).

Was wondering why people were asking about "the game I'm in" on STEAM chat :p

I didn't notice because with 8GB RAM I rarely look at RAM usage ¬_¬

There is an issue with BC2 and Steam:

Game is not actually shutting down after Exiting the game in the Steam version: Being researched.

Goon this thing later, We have 4 No. {SAS} gimps ready for action, where do you want us, what time and what should we wear ?

Didn't they turn it off to stop crashing?

Might be wrong, thought they were just running the work around like most others.

obviosly not working as he wouldnt have got away with that, surely.

PB is clinging on for dear life atm with BC2

If punkbuster was working it would say punkbuster ON not OFF

Its the PB on/off work around as per

Well it does work , we have had people banned before for #Aimbot xxxxx violations.

Obviously this guy is using something that isn't detectable by Punkbuster and not to mention none of us were on the server at the time otherwise he would have been banned straight away if we found out he was using 3rd party programs.

That just proves the workaround is not working as people thought it was.

in what way ? the whole point of it is to have run the server with PB but display it as PB off. The reason behind is that the browser filter (when PB button is ticked) returns servers that are PB off, the majority of players haven't realised this and have been only populating PB off servers for the last 9 or so days.

The work around lists PB on servers as PB off allowing them to be played on.

Had a similar issue last night with an aimbotter. The admin said they had used the punkbuster on/off trick but it obviously was not working.

Either that or the hackers have made some changes to make it undetectable atm. (though by human eye is was blatent)

**This was NOT on the TFU server**

Nice bit of Aim botting by Stan Gun on the TFU server at 16.50hrs today.

That loser was on yesterday on a server and was banned. Blatantly obvious but although I cant remember the exact server it was defo one of the guys on here.
I hope he is young and when he loses his EA account it teaches him a lesson, especially if he cant freely buy another copy.

Just finished the single player campaign there now and I must admit I did enjoy it, short but sweet. I did feel I was missing out on some of the excitement at the end though and was wondering why there couldn't be more of the game set in Alaska :(

Oh well, looking forward to seeing some of you online tonight :D

No matter how blatent it is , punkbuster is designed to detect changes in software. Not scan peoples scores or how quick they got said scores , admins are better than punkbuster.

Can you remember if it was a PB ban or a standard admin ban? If it was indeed a PB auto ban then we can assume that there is a problem with the punkbuster workaround that so many servers are using.
