How safe is it too sell on OCUK market place..

Members Market is a great resource but I don't want people to think that it's always full of what you want, you can get some bargains but don't build your hopes up that it's the promised land full of milk and honey or some such thing. :)

As long as you follow the guidelines in the Members Market you should be reasonably safe - check peoples Trust feedback, get basic details like address/phone number etc. Basically just use some common sense in how you go about it and hopefully you'll have no problems - while OcUK admins can help out it is better not to need them to so getting those details helps avoid problem.

how do you get to the Members Marget?
i dont seem to find it - is it based on posts? how many do i need?

250 posts plus being a member for 90 days, once you've fulfilled both parts of the criteria then you need to enable your Trust. The information should all be in the FAQ.

Its perfectly safe of you follow the guidleines. No worse than eBay tbh!

I have sold loads of stuff, and bought loads of stuff, with zero problems!

I think it's a great idea. More forums should do it! The only problem I could see is the trust mechanism discriminating against newer members.
I can't wait until I can access it. I have a few bits and pieces to sell. I don't trust eBay anymore after a few bad experiences.

I sold some RAM the other day, my first transaction through members market. Still awaiting first trust feedback, once its been tested etc. Trust makes it safer I spose, I felt happy dealing with this guy since he had lots of trust, but as in the definition of trust you have to earn it, of course its "discriminating against newer members" but that's what is there for :D

True I guess! It's a bit naive of me to think otherwise! I hope your transaction went well and you get the trust you (hopefully) deserve ;)

MM is fantastic, I have bought and sold items on there. Not a lot of stuff, hence my low trust, but I just feel like I can 'trust' people on here, if you'll excuse the pun.

To be honest, I've got to the point where I would only check trust for valuable items; I don't expect to get scammed :)

Quite a few bargains to be had, but you have to be quick!

Sorry if this isnt the right area :(
I have a brand new 5850 i wish to sell but dont really wana do it on ebay as its like 20% fee of the final sale -_- How safe is it REALLY to use? thanks for any info :)

How do i view my trust rateing? :/

With zero feedback and an item of that value id expect to send first :)

can someone please show me where the members market is? I can't seem to find it :/

Members Market? The members market is provided as a free service to active and contributing forum members. OcUK are not liable for any deals that are done in the Members Market, you are free to buy and sell at your own risk. Please read the rules of the Members Market before you proceed to make your first sale.

Access to the Members Market forum requires two things. Firstly, you will need to have over 250 posts and have been signed up for at least 90 days. Please note that this does not mean you spam the forums simply to increase your posts, as this action will result in posts being deducted, and if you continue this behaviour, your account will eventually be banned/suspended. Once you reach 250 posts, you will need to activate your trust. This is either found in your UserCP, or you can press the trust button that appears at the bottom of all your posts.

Once you satisfy both of these criteria, Members Market access will be granted within 24hrs. Please do not post on the forums asking why you cannot access the members market, if you have any queries, email one of the forum Dons/Admins. The contact addresses are available in the FAQ.
