Well just completed the single player campaign. Thoroughly thoroughly enjoyed that. I think overall it was indeed better than COD4. The gameplay was so much better though, being able to move through an area by blowing through walls etc. Everything just felt so much more immersive. Some brilliant character moments too, especially the "Anyone wanna go hijack a plane?" bit. Added to which, it doesn't crash my computer like the MP does

ah man, I'm liking this game more and more each day.
Same, even grinding all the old weapons for the bronze stars mixes it up a bit and reminds me that my fav weapons aren't always THAT much better in all situations.
Not saying its a bad game at all but TBH I'm getting bored of the whole thing 
Prolly played far too much !
Crappy front end and servers , no auto levelling , nowhere to play a decent squad game , everyone running around at 100mph , dealing with spawn rapers , K/D whores etc , maps too small , weapons overpowered , cheats etc etc
I'll take a break from it for a while and see if anything changes

No idea! Server went down, ft stole my phone to postp a UV Sux post, server got rebooted... All's good

All id say to that is switch servers to be fair. I had some REALLY good games on the server simply called "OcUK" with loads of people on here and we lost and won about half and half really. Proper teamwork and hardly any snipers was really nice to see.
Just been playing it in DX9 via the launcher and the FPS is around 10-15 frames higher and there's little to no slowdown when something blows up 3 feet in front of you with smoke etc.
I'd recommend people to do this even if they don't have an ATI card, the visual difference between 9 and 10 to me was marginal at best as well (see screenshots thread)

I didn't enjoy the games on TFU tonight as theres some really dubias players on there in my opinion (tonight anyway). The amount of times I got shot through walls by people when theres no damn way I could have been "pre seen" was silly. Not accusing anyone directly of cheating though, just some of the kills on me seemed far too good to be done THAT often lol
How do you change the dx version mate? I havent got any fps problems so wont do it personally but your right theres not much difference from what I can see anyway in the screens you provided

I went on other servers 2nite with pb ticked on, i must say its the same on all other servers
I have to disagree, I find the opposite, I tend to stick to punkbuster ON servers and my k/d (I'm up from 0.63 to 0.94 within a few days of sticking to pb ON servers) is a lot better than the servers with pb off, or it could be I'm getting better at the game itself, but I doubt that

Having enjoyed the original and having falling out of love with it later think I may be giving this a bash. The game use any kind of horrible DRM? I presume it also ties itself to me till the end of times without the option to resell?
