Diablo 2 - starting again

Not any more. If 1.13 had been better then it might have tempted me back but it was too little too late. I am keeping off Diablo until 3 arrives some time in the future :D
 
I have replayed through this game far too many times to want to count, someone I work with has got characters he still uses and keeps alive online.

My my, haven't played in ages! As Andrew says, am waiting for Diablo 3! Should be much better!
I did play Titan Quest for a bit hoping for a near D3 promise, but it was boring as hell, well, hell in D2 was lesss boring :P ...
 
Still have characters and the install files are sitting on my desktop. Played it way too much and done/got everything pretty much possible.

Still an awesome game though. Liked the new content they added with Uber Tristram though.
 
Easily my most played game ever, always like having a quick go every now and then but just played it that much there's not much left to do the new patch didn't seem to add much. Can't wait for d3 though
 
I played it a few months ago, after trying out which games would work on my NC10

D2 worked perfectly!
 
one of the greatest games ever made, if i started again i wouldnt stop.

ive played it more than wow and ive clocked up over 5000 hours on wow.

Damn this thread im installing it again.....:D

Ive never got pass ACT 2 on Nightmare, this time im gonna go the whole way.
Im gonna play sorceress ive never really played her before, should make things interesting.
 
D2 is an excellent short term investment.

It depends what you want. Unlike say, WoW or LOTRO or whatever, it's not updated with new items. That means that when you finally have that Ethereal BOTD Axe and that Enigma plate etc and you're soloing Baal on Hell mode... there's really not much else to do.

I made a fishmancer, solo'd everything except Uber Tristram for all the runes and items i needed for a smiteadin, then used the smiteadin to solo Uber Tristram.

Literally the 5th time i soloed it.. i realised, thats it. Game over. What now? make a sorceress? to do what? I can already solo everything with 2 characters.

Although it can be fun to leave it 9 months, then start all over again i guess from scratch.

once you have the jist of it, you can level your character from 1 - 75 in a day. 75 - 99 will take an awful lot longer. Without using a bot, you wont get past 92ish.

Anyway. dont let me put you off. D2 is awesome short term hack'n'slash and levelling that first guy up and even the 2nd and third is fun. Once youve got the best items and you can do everything, its not. Try never to be too good ;)
 
Anyone found a decent offline maphack for 1.13 yet?

I used to have my 1.12 version really well modded which made the game so much more fun to play but none of them work with 1.13 now!! I miss the maphack most though as it told me resistances as well :(
 
I still log in to keep my characters alive, think my orb sorc is 92 and was painfully slow doing baal runs to level.

Really!? I'm also an orb sorc with meteor as backup. How do you cope with the ice immune monsters? I'm just levelling on mephy runs lol >.<
