Where do you get your game reviews?

I'm looking for a new review site, I used to use IGN many moons ago until that review of Pro Evo 2008, to which they scored possibly the worst football game of the last decade 9.2, purely because IGN was advertised in the game. Since then I've mainly been using Gametrailers which on the whole are pretty objective and unbiased, but the reviewer tends to be way too formal for reviewing video games.

Metacritic is good for getting a general picture but I like to read about the game before buying it as well as getting all around score.

Of course I watch Yahtzee's reviews once a week as well but his are hardly to be taken seriously.

Any recommendations?

GamesTM and Metacritic. I don't trust any of the review websites, especially when most of them are running on tighter and tighter budgets.

I don't trust any of them. Every review site I've been to has given blatently medicore games like CoD:MW2 ridiculous scores like 9/10, 10/10. I'm convinced nearly all of them have some kind of commercial conflict of interest, either that or the reviewers are rather simple, special people.

gametrailers is my goto for video reviews, i trust the guys at giantbomb a great deal too and tend to pick out bits and pieces from listening to their podcasts etc before buying

Gametrailers to see it in action
Metacritic to see what most outlets are saying about it
Overclockers to get the low down from real gamers on how it actually plays...

normally have a quick browse on gamerankings/metacritic to get a feel then normally hop on gamespot. they seem to be a lot harsher then most review sites which is a good thing because the real gems stand out. ign is good for video's though.

Metacritic for a general feel, 1Up and Eurogamer for specifics. I always avoid the big sites like IGN and Gamespot.

Pretty much,

I'll have a quick breeze through the scores and read a couple of conclusions from the reviews that gave out the lowest scores just to see if anything stands out and then I'll move onto a couple of sites I trust like Eurogamer, 1up etc and have a proper read, at the end of the day though it's peoples opinions on forums like these that I take note of most these days.

I always check metacritic first for a general idea of how it's been received, i then usually search for the giantbomb review amongst them and if the score doesn't tie up i have a read to see why.

None. I don't trust any of them if I'm honest. I will see what score a site gives a game, but I shall not read the review. I will then see what people on OcUK make of a game.
