Hehe, I thought every one who said this was just whining (as I'm not a sniper-sniper, I'm more a recon-sniper)...
But last night a low level medic droped next to me from a sniper bullet.
So I picked up his kit, revived him, then used his weapon (the first medic LMG) with iron sights to kill the sniper that killed him; from 1 mcom base all the way over to just outside the one we had just fell back from .... I really felt that snipers frustration the moment the kill confirmation came up :D

Quite like the way you've explained it. Despite the calls for nerf, some weapons do need a slight tweak here and there. If a new player connects later on, they will get seriously merc'd.
 
Whats the deal with the Neostead? i thought it was a shotgun?
I was getting killed with one shot from MAJOR distance last night (hardcore server) so, is it a shotgun or a sniper rifle?

Slugs + Magnum ammo = Scopeless, Dropless 50-cal ;)

I've been using the shotty + mag + Slug combo for 2 days now.. And while it may seem cheap to get sniped by a shotgun; you have no scope, no extra's (as you spent them pimping the shotty), you're super vulnerable up close or against multiple foes and any bad hit detection at close or mid = your death.

On the up side it really trains you in the art of aiming rather than spraying at close to mid range... I'm much better with all guns after having trained with this combo for a couple of days.

slugs upgrade stops it being buckshot and makes it 1 very accurate "bullet" instead. Does less damage than the shotty with magnum ammo but the range on it is immense

I did say yesterday, after you said you took it personally... :D

So yeah joined the OcUK Server (The good one :p) last night and had some good times with all the guys.

I, like you Marine, almost got knifed by Bob Khaaaaan! on a Rush map but I saw the little beggar and got him instead at the last minute. Was good lols considering he'd been yammering on all day about how he was going to get my tags... :D

Might try and play on the OcUK server more often, although it is busy and all the guys from my vent often want to join in together; usually Hippos, Kearney, Khaaan, Tefal, myself, Link (when he plays), Pookie Bear, etc, etc (not necessarily same team mind you, we enjoy killing each other too).

If any of you want to join us who aren't on the TFU Vent/Server then just click Here for the details. We usually have generous helpings of lolz so come one, come all :) All I ask is that you use PTT, I don't want to hear your fat sweaty breathing down the mic :D

Good fun last night, I felt proud when Le_Petit_Lapin was complaining about m60's after I'd gunned him down :D Aedus seemed my biggest nemesis, especially on the last desert Rush map I played. Intense stuff. Great fun playing with other guys from the forum and recognising who you kill/been killed by :D
