Email been hacked?

I logged onto my hotmail this morning to find a dozen delivery failure notifications, a message that was sent to all my address book with some random link in it (I've not clicked it but I'm sure it's selling something). I've changed my password now but I don't know how someone's actually managed to take control of my account, I need to make sure this won't happen again! Any idea what's going on?

Sounds like it's been hacked mate.

aye, same happened to my mrs a while back "look at this site ive found, loads of great offers" etc.

change password, tell people to ignore the email that was sent.

Wasn't there a new MSN exploit going round the other day, I'm sure someone posted it up on here.
