Hi,

Would you be bothered if your girlfirend wouldn't accept "relationship" request on Facebook e.g.

Your relationship status:-

In a relationship

Theirs

Single

Just wondered?

bit weird, but i'd just hide it off my page I guess.

Could just be she has an ex on facebook still, or doesn't want "IS NOW IN A RELATIONSHIP" popping up on everyone's homepage.

Nah wouldn't be. It's retarded how everyone posts their relationship status' on facebook. The best is 'it's complicated', so you're advertising to the world that your relationship is messed up? Awesome!

Yes - everyone I have been with has made a massive thing about this. I'd suggest she may have something to hide, or wants to hide it from someone. Maybe an ex or something.

Yeah if both hidden then it doesnt matter but purposely refusing to accept it, thats like introducing her to your mates as your girlfriend and her telling them you are incorrect and she is infact single!

I have one friend that wouldnt accept the one from his girlfriend cus he had other girls on facebook he was sleeping with!

You would see comments on his wall asking why he hadnt accepted it that he would delete xD

Thats the only situation i can see that it would be a good idea to not accept relationship status request!

Whats wrong with people being able to see your taken?

Yes I would. Blokes will try it on with girls who are 'single' more than those who aren't (but will still try), I can't see the benefit of not having your relationship listed so I don't see why they wouldn't accept.

I don't like announcing to the world what my relationship status is, so I've been single for months.

If you both actively use FB then yeah, I'd find it a bit odd why she'd want to deliberately leave it as 'Single'.

If you are in a relationship then why not show it for all to see? My girlfriend and I show as in a relationship on facebook because we are, simple as that really. I think I would be bothered if she decided to change it to single or hide it... why? Well, I guess I'd be thinking "Why doesn't she want people to know?".

I would wonder why she didnt want to display it.

I mean the amount of notifications and boxes and applications that come through and you accept and decline, What would be so hard about clicking yes to display a relationship?

Seems wierd

depends, if she left it as single, that might bother me, but if it was hidden, or as many of my friends have a joke one "married to <random friend>, that wouldn't really bother me at all
