Just got kicked from OcUK BFBC2 server. Arica Harbour. Only joined the game, was in for 2 minutes without firing a shot and bam, you have been kicked by administrator.
Any explanation as to why? I have been a member of this community for quite some time and have played online with many OcUK members in several different games.
The server was not full, there was only 17 out of 32 on the server.

You weren't kicked by me and don't imagine uv would've kicked you either. Weird :/

You're a knife magnet :D

Well I'm safer in a tank TBH. :o

9/10 deaths on the OcUK server today seem to be from Gary Gustav or 40mm grenade:o

FRS, it's because you joined a team which already had more players than the opposing.

Funny little moment earlier:

What's this death thing?

As everyone seems to be posting their dogtag screens I thought I'd post mine...mostly to show the smackdown I've thrown KeyboardCowboy's way ;)

This is how I roll with a Gol \m/

This was on a random server earlier today, was in a squad but they weren't doing much as a squad so I went off solo -_-

(maybe still processing)

Shame about the ending, I swear sometimes my stab doesn't register, I bet my incident with pieplough last night was just that ¬_¬*

*maybe!

Frig, first double post. :(
I'll just slate the music in DG's vid aswell then. :p
+1 for the mine action too.

Pretty good, np.
I reckon he hit the melee a split second before you; I don't think two people knifing each other, can do so at the same time, I have had this loads of times and reckon it must register who struck first?

I'm sure i've gone toe to toe with someone and we both knifed each other before. Doesn't happen as often as shooting each other but i'm sure its happened.

All the action on that map is infront of the boat and sniping from that side is useless and unless your capping as a recon then you dont want to be in the thick of the action unless you have a shotty. The sniper is a long range weapon, so you should be sniping caps and raining mortars on flags and tanks from afar drawing the enemy to you and diverting them from the caps.

On the subject of squads, why join a squad then go off on your own?
I find this single thing to be THE most annoying thing about this game.

The only way I ever seem to have a squad with me is when I follow one of my team mates. All I do is try to cap flags and hold flags against enemy attacks, being on my squad is where the action is, but time and time again I have zero squad mates with me and I die to find they have ALL gone recon.

Useful tip:
If you are going to go recon then first leave the squad your in and start a new recon squad, so likewise if you are a recon you should join the recon squad and NOT the assault squad. This means the people actually capping flags can have fun and win the game whilst the recons can sit there pretending to contribute.

Also we dont need more than 5 recons per side, try to look at what the squad is playing as and try to choose something that is missing. I have been on the server when all I could see was recons and so I was left in a squad on my own trying to cap the objectives.
Further to this as a recon you should follow team mates from afar and when someone is capping or setting a charge on a flag, sniper first then strike after. We dont need a strike staight away, it runs out before anybody on the opposing team even gets to the cap.
Now not wanting to sound like I am showing off, but seriously if I go recon I WILL get 7+ kills on a map, this is mainly because I know where and when to snipe now, so if you arent then recon is probably not needed on that map.

Good examples of maps not to use a recon are the winter maps where there is little in the way of places to shoot long range and also you cant protect the flags from close up as a recon.

No worries, that's not showing off. I'd be upset if I didn't get 7+ kills as a medic. Whilst AFK.

Most recon don't care about making a recon squad people would rather spawn in a safe place on the map and make their way forward again.
The very nature of playing recon is to be a self serving player.

I'm not so sure.. I enjoy playing recon with the SVU or a shotgun to keep pushin forward with the squad - chucking motion mines out, and mortaring MCOMs once we've alarmed one.

I understand what you mean, but recon can be a hard-hitting front-line class; take Pieplough and his damn Spas-12 Recon, it's just mean :p

Exactly - recon can be great on the front line if played correctly.
