We are starting a "OCUK server jump start group" soon, meaning a group of about 8 - 10 of us go on each server and get them started if you want in?

This way all OCUK will benfit from having busy servers from early in the morning.

Exactly my problem,

I'm also not used to being "spotted" which makes it very annoying walking round a rock to get pummelled.

Spotting is very annoying when absolutely no one has a LoS on you and it tracks you all the way behind objects.

I must say 1 of my preferred servers was a normal server with spotting disabled so there wasn't just wallhack style spam everywhere. It also made Motion Mines really worthwhile.

Definitely sounds appealing. Especially considering there is macros available everywhere for auto spotting :(

yeah sure dont mind helping out have to add you or something in steam or xfire

they have fixed the fubar PB filter option so people looking for PB on actually find PB on servers

Nope, try it for yourself, search "OCUK" without the PB box "X" then try it with the X

OCUK servers and my own only appear with no X in the box, they are utterly useless

Don't see how a spotting macro would help TBH, if you spam the spot key it stops working for a while, the number of times I've been unable to spot people I can acutally see because I've been speculatively spotting on the horizon for snipers moments before. :o

Presumably it "presses" the key often enough to be effective but not often enough to be stopped.

I think I saw one that only spotted when you fired... which makes it somewhat useless.

I really hate people using scripts like that in games to be honest - I remember in the rocket arena days some people would use rocket jump scripts... It really isn't hard to learn how to do it yourself and you get way more control...but obviously it's easier to just have one button do all the work for you :/

I guess if the cooldown period is known, I can still see it failing to spot the guy you want though. Anyway people who need to use such a thing probably need all the help they can get. ;)

A spot on fire would actually be useful, because when you see someone most of the time you'll take a pot shot, if you don't down them then you can track them, and if they kill you, your squad mates should be able to clean up for you. Still cheating though.

The one that used to annoy me in crysis was the invisible->speed mode, run forward 10 paces, speed->strength mode, punch, strength -> armour. The little ***s used to appear out of nowhere and one shot you. :(

Yeah, I spam the hell out of the spot key, not only does it help the team it gets you even more points on top of the kill assist if you can't finish the job :)

Actually thinking about it, I tend to spot when I play HC as well, just for the points. There are a few pins you wouldn't get if you only ever played HC, and never bothered spotting.
