What was the specs of your first PC ??

Don't remember the full spec but I recently plugged ib the hard drive of a pc I bought in 99 and the capacity was only 8gb- I was actually shocked that it was that low.

First computer was an amiga 500.

£1150 odd quid from time computers ~2000/01
athlon 900mhz, 256 ram (133mhz), Gforce2 64mb, 40gig HDD, 19" crt (using still right now) printer, scanner, windows millenium
 
If you discount the Amiga it was

Intel 486 DX2-66
4mb Ram
1mg Graphics
340mb hard drive
15" monitor
No sound card
No CD rom

Cost about £1200
 
My PC never wore specs!

I've the same PC for 15 years!!! I've only changed the case, CPU, Memory, Motherboard, PSU, Graphics card, Hdds, Optics a few times in that time - Horra for upgrading!
 
You young-uns... Here's mine:

CPU : NEC Zilog Z80
RAM : 1KB (upgraded later to 16KB wooooh...)
'Storage' : Dad's cassette recorder
Cost : £69.96 (in 1981)

I upgraded the ram to 256mb to play AOE

Think it was an Advent from large high street competitor, worked all 6 weeks of my holiday before started college in a bakery to get it!

First computer was an Amstrad CPC 6128. It had the extra 128kb of ram upgrade and floppy disc drive:)

My first PC was a 386 sx25 with 1mb of ram and a 40mb hard disc. I remeber Ultima Underworld 2 taking up a quarter of the disc space.

What a beast!

Space Quest, Civilization 1, Cosmo, Commander Keen, F29 Retaliator... I had some awesome games on that thing.
 
The first one i actually owned was an Olivetti

It was a P100
4Mb EDO RAM
Diamond Stealth VGA card
Colorado External 250Mb Tape Drive
800Mb Hard Drive
4x CD ROM
Hayes 14.4k fax modem
Windows 95

However the first PC i actually used was my dads, another olivetti, it was based on a 486DX2/66 and ran Windows 3.11 which i played theme park and simcity 2000 on as my Amiga 1200 didnt cope well with these games
