so i got an RMA and sent it back, and they found the fault and sent me a brand new one, got it today put it in, and it has the exact same problem, iv got another RMA to send it back, should i go for a different card or stick with this one ? can i be unlucky 3 times in a row ?

i dont have anymore than £130 to spend on a card, im having to even borrow money to send this damn card back :(

any advise ?

Hi have you had a nvidia card in this pc before, as I had similar problems but not as bad as that but after a fresh format it fixed it.
Had the same card as you its 9/10 driver issues

Overall, I'm not greatly impressed with the 5770 series of cards.

My Asus CuCore version seems to be almost unusably unstable in Win7 2D mode, yet works OK in 3D mode mostly.

Yes, you probably can be 3 times unlucky - I'm going to decide soon whether just to return to my faithful, stable 8800GT and accept a bit of slowdown in newer games.

never used nvidia in this system before, its a new system, my HD3650 works perfectly fine. The card runs DX11 games perfectly, but it wont run any DX9 games without that problem.

i am thinking maybe i should just use my old card for now too, until something else comes out for the money i have, i don't have allot of faith in the 5770 range now myself.

I take it you have uninstalled the drivers and installed the latest drivers?

yea i always do that, i had a fresh install of windows 7 aswell

Does your motherboard have a nvidia chipset as someone I know had problems similar changed to a intel chipset board and it fixed it

this is my setup

AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition 3.20GHz
G.Skill Ripjaw 4GB DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit
Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AMD 785G DDR3 Motherboard
NZXT Apollo Gaming Case - Black
Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM
Corsair CX 400W ATX Power Supply (CMPSU-400CXUK)

Doesn't make much sense tbh, I'd put that down to coincidence for the moment. If you have the same problem with the next card try it in a friend's rig to see if it works.
