Any chance you could vote for my band? (round two)

My Opinions/Audible Influences.

The Love days - House of cards. The Specials, with annoying bassist.
The Spills - I am scared I might. Smashing Pumpkins, Arctic Monkeys.
The Great statemen - One way st. Something I can't remember right now, Franz Ferdinand, The Knack, singer sounding alike Brian Molko.
Huckster - Wild Girls. Erasure. Keyboard melody There goes the fear, The Doves.

You lot - Main hook Love is a Battlefield, Pat Bennatar. Singer lose the annoying 80's hand miming.
b.t.w. Does the keyboardist write most of the stuff?
imho Amazingly you guys show the most promise, even though the words of the song are naff and you all sound as rock solid as jelly. (
) You obviously, really need to get in together a lot more, get tighter and abandon yourselves. Was actually begining to enjoy the last thirty seconds a bit.
Time served together.
Voted for your motley crew again of course.

Hi JMC, thanks for the input, a lot has changed since that video. We now have our own practice room which is constantly setup and we practice 3/4 times a week for about 2 hours a time. What we hear a lot now is how tight we sound compared with last year.

Hopefully VERY soon we'll have the single mixed and some new live videos over the summer (we've got some big festivals with Tinchy Stryder, The Automatic, Wiley etc which I believe are being filmed.)

The song writing is usually Rob (lead singer) will give a guitar hook, then Andy (Keys) will structure that into a song then Lead is added over that and finally James (drummer) will actually polish the parts and make amendments here and there.

Anyway thanks again guys, we're miles behind now, but your help has been very much appreciated.

Done. Against my better judgement as I've still not received the first cookie :(.

The Lovedays: 53 votes.
Huckster: 3 votes.
The Spills: 2 votes.

Sleeping With Giants: 21 votes.

voted again..... perhaps start a new thread as not everyone will check back!

oh and the MEGA AWESOME MASSVIE E-COOKIE you sent me for being the 100th vote was delicious

Trust your address and I'll send you a cookie!
Lol! They say Mossad used to assassinate people (back when it wanted to be discrete) by sending chocolates, cookies and pastries laced with poison. Most of the time the recipient is confused with the unsolicited treats, but still tucks in.

SO, buy me a cookie, but eat it yourself :D.

You better win this, OcUK has failed recently.

Good to hear about the rehearsal/practise room; would love to see your progress. I will keep an eye out for you's.

Definately or ask one of the Dons to change the TT to round two e.t.c.
Go for it some may see it as cheating though I see it as enterprise, reminds me of bands stamping their name around the neighbourhood.

"Spread the word around" TL ;)

Thanks guys, we have got a long way to go, but I believe in the power of OCUK!

I have opened a new thread now as suggested:

http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18135727

Would be good if OCUK could push a band into the charts! Cheers fellas!

Update the title for them, I mentioned it above, before Burnsy closed the other one.
