The Daily Telegraph said 58 economists from around the world had signed a letter warning the recovery remained "fragile" and "rash action" could lead to spiralling job losses.

Fortunately, cutting some waste (not even cutting all of it that has been identified by the government) this year rather than in 10 months time is not 'rash' action, and less than 1% of Government spending is not going to topple the economy.

The letter as been orchestrated by at least three Labour peers.

That would be the letter Labour created and orchestrated, then got most of their cronies with any economic experience to sign?

No, of course not, these are real economists who fear for the future of the nation and can see the difference between Labour efficiency savings and Tory cuts. :D

An SNP vote should be treated as a protest vote against Labour as far as I'm aware.

Protest vote my ass. I lived in North Glasgow for 30 years, the area is staunchly Labour and has been for over 75 years. During that time, the area went from good to bad to worse and the idiots still vote Labour. The area was traditionally one of metal and rail manufacturing and the Tories destroyed it as they did in every other area of Scotland.

What did Labour do to help the area? Sod all. High unemployment, high drug use, lack of local infrastructure, lack of local amenities and poor social housing. Labour decided to house the immigrants here and blamed the locals when the whole thing went wrong, ignoring the fact that the immigrants competed with the locals for the drug trade and burglary reports went crazy where there was little before.

Labour have failed Scotland and vote for the SNP is a vote for change.

That proves people are actually stupid.

They are blind to the fact that it is in their interest to keep swinging between two parties to attract more funding. Labour is infamous for starving its strongholds of cash and pumping into the marginals.

Sorry - not really a post on which party to vote for.
But nearly 19% of "I'm not bothered, not going to vote"

Are you going to be the same 19% of vocal people who will moan and complain when whichever government is in charge does something you don't like?
Get off your backsides people.
Voting is important.

I see so many people saying "Labour suck".
If everyone who didn't vote last time had voted Liberal for example they would have won!
Your vote is important.

Same here mate.

I Live in a staunchly Labour stronghold in the north east of England and things have got worse under Labour with an unemployment rate way above the national average and one of the worst in the country.

Coal and shipbuilding was decimated inder the Tories and things have got worse under Labour with youth unemployment at a stratospheric level but people still vote for them.

It is usually a case of I've always voted for them and their parents did as well. All well and good but it has got you where exactly ?

And i am very impressed with Michael Gove recently, unlike osbourne he's a very good, strong speaker and held his own on Newsnight the other night

Oh and by the way, who was the total honey at the Tory Manifesto launch sitting next to osborune!?!!

I've no idea. ;)

People need to stop interpreting an anti-Tory post as a pro-Labour post. :o

EDIT: I should also point out, Dolph, that I know your post wasn't exactly that.

Also, I thought this was/is a rather good article.

I did the website were you select policies, and ended up being 55% UKIP! Weird, given I am originally an immigrant, haha.

I was originally on the fence between Tory and Lib Dem, but some of the Lib Dem policies have Toryville edging it.
