TV Election debates - how are they doing?

I've heard a few ppl say this but why? Is it number of voted in MPs or something?
What are the figures?
Don't know about numbers, but that's pretty much it.

Lib Dems aren't in contention for the leadership, so if they stuff up they won't have put much at risk, if they come out shining, they win :)

That's not a great explanation ...

Clegg > Cameron > Brown

Clegg: Was always going to win - good orator, never given much air time so a chance to shine.
Cameron - At a disadvantage from the start due to high expectations smooth Cameron will sweep up. Not doing too bad and holding his own.
Brown - Nobody expected anything anyway. He hasn't messed up so its kind of a victory for him.

Clegg, not much to loose. He can say anything he wants. Knowing nothing he promises he's every got to deliver on.

But he isn't, he certainly is best presented and coolest - as you say cos he has least to lose.

But he doesn't seem to have any real points...

Gordon Brown is lost without his Key Points to Make, Q&A Brief, Speech Notes and Elephant Traps. He can’t stop scribbling between points.

Cameron gets my vote.

Over the last hour I have changed my mind - I was almost certainly going for Clegg, I like his style BUT Cameron does have more discipline - and seems to be the only one who is going to address immigration, still not as well as I would have hoped but its better than the others.

Clegg will reduce Britian to a pulp, end of. Cameron has no clue, he consistently asks retorical questions such as "why do mothercare et all, say this then .....(to GB)" in other words he has no fixed belief, full of doubt, he will take us back to the 80's - anyone want to go back there??

I am impressed by clegg. Not sure if I would vote for them though - don't like his bank bashing or their nuclear policies (both power and trident)

on the plus side the liberals will never win so you dont have to worry about any of their iffy policies getting implemented!
