Hi Guys

Its new company car time, budget was restricted due to buying my first house, so decided to go for the BMW 1 Series Coupe 118d M Sport in white with optional 18's, & Brushed aluminium interior

Would have liked the 120d but couldnt justify the extra £50pm.

Found some pics on pistonheads of what mine should look like. Havent had chance to test drive one, due to availability being poor at present. Should arrive some time in June fingers crossed.

Your thoughts?

Yeah I hope so too. Its a difficult one because the 118d is a new model in the coupe, and all the cars from BMW, Audi, Merc etc are being shipped over to Dubai at present because they get more money for them :(

Nice car shame about the engine. I felt the engine ruined the 118d M Sport I had for a bit, it was all show and no go. Coupe looks pretty decent though :)

They have increased the HP on the engine now though, to 148HP, which makes it a bit better. 0-62 9 seconds and 300NM torque, so it isnt too bad.

£152 inc company car tax. That includes full maintenance, servicing and insurance for any driver. Yeah I was thinking of remapping it, as its the same engine as the 120d but wouldnt know where to start or which company would be best. Any advice appreciated

I think they look fantastic, good choice :)

It's a shame you couldn't justify the 120d though but at least the new engines are getting more powerful.

Na dont get a fuel card but I do get 12p per mile for business so that should help. Should get around 700 miles to a tank hopefully

Not bad at all.. whats the mileage cap and how long is the lease period?

If I lease the same car through my company (they use Zenith) it will cost me close to £330/month over 2 years !!

Nice looking car:) Although I'm slightly unsure about a BMW 'M Sport' with a 1.8 litre diesel engine? I suppose the 0-60 and BHP specs aren't too bad tho.

Hope you enjoy.

It has a 2 litre diesel engine.

Oooooh, that makes all the difference then!:)

I'm not having a go at the OP, it's a damn nice car, and looks like it goes okay:) It just seems that the M Sport thing is just vomited on any old engine...surely 'sport' implies some sort of special performance?

It's a level of trim, not an indication of the engine inside, it's mostly styling changes.

Same way they offer a Corsa 'Comfort' when quite clearly it's anything but.
