Been looking in the shops recently and i see these awsom looking new games on the shelfs... i then go to the pc part and i see only old games and nothing new.

Why is it that none of these games are on the PC??? Fable 2 and 3 for example are only Xbox..

Im very annoyed at this issue and i feel we are being left out.

You wouldn't happen to have next weeks lotto numbers would you?

There are numerous reasons why some games are console only, consoles are more lucrative for the developer first and foremost, there's less piracy on console and consoles are easier to develop for as they are fixed systems unlike PCs which have unlimited variations.

There are of course PC only games out there as well, the next big one that I can think of would be "The Witcher 2" which, if it's anything like it's predecessor, will be brilliant.

The two you picked aren't exactly the best that're missing :p

The best game i've played in years is Uncharted 2 on the PS3, but then before that it was Half Life 2 on the PC, then before that it was Final Fantasy X on the PS2, then before that it was Half Life on the PC, then before that was Vandal Hearts on the PS1, then before that was Doom on the PC.

See a trend? The best games swap backwards and forwards from platform to platform. The trick is to get access to as many as possible to really enjoy what gaming has to offer. Anyone that limits themselves to a single platform is really missing out.

last i heard the witcher 2 is going multi platform but hopefully it will be foremost a pc game and ported to console rather than the other way around for once.

I think it was worse a few years back, its better now

Capcom for instance have been on PC releasing binge and we arnt talking rubbish RE4 quality ports either.

SF4
DMC
RE5

all of them were better on the PC, higher resolutions plus a decent game pad = gaming bliss

^True, I was actually very impressed by SF4, the PC has been crying out for a decent beat'em up game for YEARS and they pretty much nailed it. The same good ole SF we know and love, but with constant 60fps, configurable controls and not a half-assed console port like I might have expected.

GJ Capcom.

But to answer the OP - yes. It's always been that way, you get some console exclusives, you get some pc exclusives, that's just how it is.

Shame Resident Evil 5 PC was missing some of the extra features the console versions have like the Versus multiplayer modes and even split-screen play. Not to mention the new DLC that was released for the consoles eclusively recently, so we don't know if they will be avaliable later on. The graphics and performance was superb on the PC version yes, but the lack of extra content compared to the console versions is the real killer there.

Lost Planet 2 will be getting a PC release later this year as well, though knowing Capcom's previous trends, I'd rather wait and see if there is a "Colonies Edition" release for this.

Same thing for Super Street Fighter IV. Hopefully there will be a PC version later this year.

All 3 consoles have some games that are exclusives and you love or exclusives you dont care about, it's a simple fact for a number of reasons including dev preference, potential sales numbers, publishers and feasibility of the game on that console.

We might not get any Uncharteds, Socoms, Gears of Wars, God of Wars, but at the same time we have a lot of exclusives I bet they would love, BF3, Many strategy games, The Witcher, MMOs e.t.c. I think it's important you look at them all and decide which console has the most exclusives you love, and go to that platform, for me it is the PS3, much prefer their exclusives, I also PC game because i prefer a keyboard + mouse and love my strategy games, but if I had to pick one it would be the PS3.

PS3 is a slow burner of sorts.

But microsoft has played a roll in stopping games get multiplaform releases Alan Wake and Gears 2 being the best recent examples I can think of.

But recently some did a release comparison list, there are still more PC titles released than any other platform every year

EA, sony etc etc eating all the other developers killed pc gaming FUFUFUFUFUFU

they bought out the competition, pillaged and plundered from them and crushed them like bugs.

now were mainly left with crap because the big companies dont want to risk projects that dont have mass apeal to every gamer on the planet.

barely any niche games , rts, stratergy , rpg , management games etc that made the pc great are all but dead and were left with a fat ugly carcass of console casual gamer junk.

just look how user friendly pc games have became we used to get billion page thick manuals now we get a small slip of keyboard shortcuts for the brain dead.

microsoft dont help any they should remember what made them all the money because it wasnt xboxs
