They should have a Tiswas style gunge machine over each leaders head, and whenever the leader speaking says something the audience dont agree with the audience can press a button and party politically coloured grunge drops on them.

It's the duty of all voters to not vote based on that silly TV debate last week.

Comparing the previous poll on here where the Lib Dems had ~15% of the OcUK vote and now have ~40% it would appear that something has caused a changed in the last week or so, most likely the debate.

EDIT: looking at the other previous poll comparisons aren't actually that easy to draw.

Not necessarily. Party policies and manifestos weren't released when the poll went up, and there wasn't quite the same exposure in the media to each party like there is now.

And of course the old poll had the annoying "not voting" option which skewed results. Love the format of this poll though, nicely done mods. It's great to cross reference the ocuk poll with national polls when they are both the same format.

At least they will be voting.

Well...maybe.

Interest in the election has perked certainly, but even though some of my friends who never vote have said they would this time, I have no doubt at all that when the time actually comes they still wont be bothered. Sure they will say in advance if asked that they will this time, but I still really dont think they will when the day is actually here.

Was going to vote Lib Dem before the televised debate anyway. All you 'OMG Lib Dem will ruin us' people are absolutely freaking hilarious. It's like you've totally forgotten what Labour and Conservatives have done to this country whenever they've gone into power.

People who vote Tory have the memory of a goldfish.

I really can't believe more people would vote Lib Dem on here than any other party... I thought this board had more sense!

As others have said, it just shows how fickle this forum is given the number of heavily pro-Conservative polls we've had here over many years. 90 minutes and everything changes.

On a matter of no substance at all, has anyone else observed that the poll is party politically correct - red, blue, and gold. How did that happen? :)

PS - As for the Lib Dems and in case anyone had any lingering doubt. Actually, I voted for them before, but not this time. It'd hurt my pocket big time - so too many policies I disagree with.

I was 9 when the conservatives were last in power so can't really remember all the nasty, vile, stuff that I always hear they did... Interestingly though my mum and dad lived through decades of conservative government and are still conservative voters. How odd :confused::confused:

Still, will be nice when Clegg get's in and we don't have to have any nasty trident and eurofighters, the world's a safe place... right?

My vote WOULD go to Bob Russell (Lib Dem) in Colchester, because he has a very safe seat, and he's done nothing wrong, and really cares about the town and suchlike :)

However, I'm not going to be old enough to vote by about 7 weeks. Hmph.

Voting exactly the same. He knocked on my door drumming up votes the other day. Was quiet interesting hearing his views on Robbie Cowling and Colchester United considering how big a fan he was.
