Steam UI Update

They should sort their servers out before the UI, Downloading Dawn of War 2 update at 60 kb's for past 3 days, Nice

Just swap download locations, doesn't really sound like a steam issue to me though.

Im having problems with this...

Every time it tries to update the damn thing it gets stuck at either 48% or 50%. Hell i've left my comp on all day in its still stuck. Tried so many times... And gets stuck at 50% most of the time?

Any idea's?

I cant do anything now.... Can't access anything untill its done the update. Tried right clicking the little icon on the taskbar but no action...

Have you tried deleting your .blob file?

Failing that create a shortcut to the Steam.exe file with -clearbeta after the shortcut target.

yeh they better allow us to use the old ui the new one is ugly and bloated and not needed.

The new UI is out of beta and will be thrust upon you all on MONDAY 26th April whether you like it or not.

Bloated? Que?

You mean the the icons are slightly larger? Have you compared memory usage between the old UI and new one whilst in an idle state?

I predict, lots of flashy graphics and not particularly userful enhancements....

And the one enhancement that loads of people have asked for that would be very useful - being able to allocate names and notes to friends - not being in there...

all working for me, and i think it looks nice

I'm not looking forward to the new UI being released because of this. I like the fact that the current Steam UI is nice and simple. I suppose I'll have to get used to it.

go to view and pick small mode and it becomes very simple
