James Bond 23 production 'on hold'

Fingers crossed they get back on track asap... and this movie fills the massive gap let in my life by QOS... which even after 3 viewings makes very little sense..
 
I liked Casino and thought that QoS was a PoS.

Craig was good in Casino I thought. A decent bond. The other end of the spectrum in QoS made me think twice. Really boring film.
 
I think they've just realised how bad the last 6 films have been and canned it and blamed the studios financial problems as the cause.

1) Studio needs money
2) Bond makes money
3) Studio makes Bond
4) Studio makes money

If the studio gets bought while making the film - all well and good, if the studio goes under while making the film, well, thats what completion bonds are for.
 
Casino Royale was bloody excellent in my opinion, however, Quantom of Solace was absolutely shocking, shocking, shocking.

Pierce Brosnan was excellent as Bond, but so is Craig. The reboot was a breath of fresh air as the whole camp cheese thing had gone on for long enough. I hope it gets sorted and we get another Casino Royale.
 
I thought QoS was much the same as Casino Royale.... don't really know why people can say one was better than the other - the plots were pretty boring for both. I thought style and screen presence wise, Craig is a good fit for this new, rougher Bond. They do need to balance it a bit more away from the Bourne series but apart from that I think it is a good ground to continue from.
 
Let me put it in Layman's terms, I really, really enjoyed watching Casino Royale but did not have a good time watching Quantom of Solace.
 
Daniel Craig looks too serious to be James Bond, he's awesome in Layer Cake, but Bond needs a slightly smarmy laid back look about him, Daniel Craig is not this..
 
Daniel craig is a poor bond tbh! both Casino Royale & Quantom of Solace ARE the most poor bonds ever imo. Bring back Q and get rid of Dame Judi Dench is passed her time imo

Pierce Brosnan = Best Bond.
Timothy Dalton = Next best Bond
Roger Moore = Was a good Bond

Ish, if he had an english accent then id agree .. a scotish bond didnt cut it for me! ... not Anti Connery i love his acting and films that he has been in

Tbh think its hard to debait WHO was/is the best as every actor that has played bond (apart from Daniel Craig) has added something to the films and the bond character

This! Casino Royale was exactly what I wanted from a modern Bond film.

Shame they really dropped the ball with Quantum of Solace- crappy plot about monoplizing the water supply on an island or something....might as well have called it Quantum of the Competition Commission.

Agreed.

Both this and QOS I barely managed to make it through the movie without slitting my wrists.

It's now Bourne rather than Bond, and as much as I love the Bourne trilogy, it isn't bond! :(:mad:

Casino Royale was brilliant. However, it was much more like the books and much less like the films people had got used to, so if you like the films and didn't care for or had never read the books then of course you wouldn't like it.
