What one would you pick to power 5850 and if any of the power supply's could handle it what maybe crossfire later.

Antec TruePower New Modular 550W Power Supply

That one got 80PLUS® Bronze Certified what ever that means lol

And

OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI Certified Modular Power Supply
http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-031-OC&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=1098

This one cost less and is 600w where the antec only 550w not much difference but still cheaper with more power it seems.

Or this one on offer atm :)

OCZ StealthXStream 700w Silent Power Supply

Cheers.

Having just RMA`d 2 OCZ GameXstream 850w`s I would say Antec, especially as I decided after RMA #2 to go for a Antec Truepower 650w and couldnt be happier.

antecs are made by seasonic.

the 650w version which costs £90, won the bit-tech 650-700w round up.

much more value for money than the overpriced corsairs.

I bought a VX450W and it was quite cheap tbh. Check the warranty you get with Antec. That's all im saying. Most of the Corsair PSU's are made by Seasonic also. It's the after sales support that set's them apart but.

SOME Antecs are made by Seasonic... but its really hard to find which models are Seasonic's and which arnt... They use a dozen different OEM's and some of their PSU's have been absolutely terrible over the years... Thats the problem with Antec, you never really know what your getting without a lot of carefull research first.

Corsair's are a mix of CWT and Seasonic power supplies, and of course All seasonics are seasonics :P

If the Antec your like is a Seasonic, then you cant really go wrong with it.

the new truepower range are made seasonic.

I don't care much about the basic/earthwatts range of psus as they don't interest me in the slightest.

OCZ seems to be changing the OEM for some of their newer StealthXStream PSUs from to CWT.

However the Antec TruePower New units are made by Seasonic AFAIK.

Really good cable length on the 650w Truepower, maybe a little shorter than the OCZ GameXstream but plenty long enough.

Both Antec and OCZ models listed are 80PLUS certified, in fact the average efficiency is 1% difference between the two.

I have had Corsair and now have the OCZ M600 (ModXtream Pro) and both are very silent and very good at sustained power.

In fact I think I read on JohnnyGuru that the M600 is Seasonic built as well so it's no surprise....
