A curiosity -

Given £4-5k to spend, and had the choice of the following three, which would you buy and why?

DC2, EK9 or EP3?

I don't know anything about Honda and their cars but i LOVE the look of the DC2. The other 2 - after a quick Google - look boring.

DC2 all day !

Ek9 looks better but DC2 is on top by far on overall performance wise. Handles great from factory standard let alone after a few mods.

I think its the best FWD handling car in the world from factory standard iirc

EP3 as i have one, but i did consider the other 2. Guess i went for the EP3 as its very similar performance wise but you get a newer car for the money.

Nice video, although the EP3 vs. DC2 isn't an accurate representation, seeing as thats the JDM EP3 that comes with a LSD, if I'm not mistaken?

For the record, I'd personally lean toward the DC2. I imagine it to have a lower, sportier driving position than the EK9 and EP3, as well as looking slightly more "special" than the other two. That said, If the EP3 had a LSD, it would be a serious contender.

Correct, also a bit extra power, 220bhp.

It would be DC2>EK9>EP3 for me.

JDM ep3 is indeed better than the UKDM for the track

Power of jdm is 215-220 PS, so about 210bhp? not tons over the ukdm but suppose it helps

DC2 for sure. EP3 I'm not a fan off, boy racers have given them a bad rep. Everyone knows thats EG>EK so that's the ek9 out thus leaving me with the mighty DC2

EP3. Just going off my own personal experience with DC2 and EP3. Ek9 i've never driven.

i used to have dreams about driving DC2s. then i did drive one and everything was justified. drive a dc2, theyre fantastic

Nowhere near a Honda Fan Boy (at least with cars), but for me:

DC2 UKDM
EK9
DC2 JDM
EP3

Its funny you separate the UKDM and JDM DC2s. I'd much rather have a 98 Spec JDM, but the insurance on the imports is double that of the UK models for me.

I would go for a DC2 as well...although I'm biased. Unfortunately, finding a minter for £4-5k just isn't possible. I spent over £6k on mine.
