Tory dirty tricks & smears . . .

People who support the same party for many years know what they are voting for surely, my point is all the people who are suddenly 'lib dem lib dem!!!1'. I know a fair few people like it, and i ask them why, but they cant give an answer to why they favour them.

I think they can, but it largely consists of 'The Liberal Democrats aren't the Tories or Labour, and their leader isn't called Gordon or David."

People are missing the point - yes the smear is an unfortunate part of politics, but the bigger crime is the media conspiracy to get the Conservatives in any cost to journalistic integrity. "Control the media, control the mind" - don't fall for it people.
This!

You should not forget that a majority of newspapers are controlled by Rupert Murdoch who is not British and doesn't pay British taxes; they have long claimed to be the King-makers in British politics.

Then you get the Torygraph which is owned by a pair of shadowy tax-dodging, democracy-hating, Christian fundamentalist twins who live on an island in the channel

Finally, there is the one-time Hitler supporting Daily Mail which is pretty much acknowledged even by its supporters as being completely delusional and paranoid.

To top it all off, Cameron's director of propaganda is an individual who was forced to pay out £800,000 for bullying, is the ex-editor of Murdoch's News of the Screws and who was forced to resign because he claimed not to know about the criminal activity of senior members of his staff.

The Grauniad and the Daily Mirror support New Labour and nobody quite knows what is happening at the Independent.

The Murdoch controlled Sky is entirely supportive of the Tories and the rest of the (significant) TV stations have no particular allegiances other than that of their advertisers perhaps.

very true

sure some people may agree with theit policies but many just don't like the others so this looks like an alternative

looks at their policies

amnesty for illegal immigrants already here
cutting spending on roads
a local income tax to replace council tax
their policy on Europe

it just doesn't make sense

O...M....G !!!

Ur rite ! I seez the light now ~!!

*grabs tinfoil hat* I am ready to welcome the new overlords !

Did you know that the Lib Dems are offering that they will hold a "full defence review" including Trident, but have already committed to not replacing it fully?
Lib Dem Manifesto said:
Saying no to the like-for-like replacement of the Trident nuclear weapons system
Additionally, their offer of fitting nuclear warheads to cruise missiles on board Astute submarines is rubbish. The Astute's cruise missile, the Tomahawk, has a range of 1,500 miles and maximum speed of around 550 mph. It would take over 2.5 hours to travel from the Mediterranean to Iran, which is about as far as it can go. You could overtake it with Thomas Cook holiday plane and shoot it down with a spud gun.

The existing Trident II missile has a range of 7,000 miles and a maximum speed of over 13,000 mph. It can travel from the South Atlantic to North Korea in 18 minutes and deliver several nuclear warheads at once.

The two systems are a million miles apart.

Quelle surprise!

The Sun newspaper failed to publish a YouGov poll showing that voters fear a Liberal Democrat government less than a Conservative or Labour one.

The Liberal Democrats accused the newspaper, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch, of suppressing the finding. The paper, which endorsed Labour in the past three elections, declared its support for David Cameron during the Labour Party's annual conference last October. Like other Tory-supporting papers, it has turned its fire on Nick Clegg over his policies, pro-European statements and expenses claims since he won last week's first televised leaders' debate. (The Independent)
The Murdoch media hiding the truth . . .. surely not?

Rupert "Elliot Carver" Murdoch doesn't want any change, certainly not over tax-dodging or control of his domination of the media.

They probably know they will be voting for change, real change.

Rubbish change to be frank. I dont want to live in a country that lets illegal immigrants stay, and one thats willing to give up its nuclear deterent when an uncertain world is ahead. Lib dems go on about how it will cost 100bn, but thats over 40 years, and that cost is nothing compared to what the government spends in 40 years. The security of the nation and lives of our people is priceless, compared to 100bn. They oppose nuclear power, where do they expect the power to come from when theres no fossil fuels!
