Reporting road rage

If it was serious and you have details then get in touch with your local police station. Don't expect them to do much though. Some police forces let you report things like this on their website, have a look at yours.

But yea, what happened? ... story time :D

Last time I did something along these lines i told a patrol car at a set of lights with a description of the car and events and the license plate... They said they'd call it over the radio for others to look for it... God knows if anything come of it though

I reported someone to my local station, by phone. They were pretty good about it, they offered to send someone out to take a statement.

I got reported the other day, police knocked on my door "We've had a report of dangerous driving" etc.
One mans word against another = not real evidence = no prosecution. I got an unofficial warning.

It really is a waste of time.

I expect it was some old duffer, it usually is.

I reported someone one for some unsightly behaviour - it was taken seriously though as the lady in the offending car...(a V reg Vectra) was flashing a badge (amongst other hang gestures) at me whilst up my *** on the A3 going to portsmouth.

Turns out she was an backroom staff in her local constab' and she'd been flashing her husband's badge (a serving officer) ...she actually got fired in the end.

As a result I had many visits and they took statements from a witness I had in my car and myself.

the police wont give a **** i called them up about something awful on the roads and they said they would investigate as the incident was over, they never came to get a statement from me or anything, I had the reg of the two cars involved and everything

Who do you report to, obviously not 999. I have just witnesses the most outrageous behaviour in my life!

I've witnessed many odd things, like one person beeping at the other for staying still for 5 seconds at the green light, then the other giving the finger and shouting, ''what's your problem'' at the next lights in a threatening tone'', the first replying by spraying pepperspray into the guys who gave the finger and shouted at him, the guys in response cut up and make an emergency stop in front of the first, etc... Unless there are witnesses that are willing to come forward, I doubt anything will happen, unless you somehow filmed the incident. I would indeed call the emergency number if it happened to me though.

Did they tell you when/where the incident was? Were you driving dangerously?

I was not involved, was driving on the motorway coming up to Brent Cross on M1 into London. Looked in my mirrors I observed a Focus C-Max in the outside lane and a mad man behind flashing his lights in a black Audi Q8 (reg V8 TUY), anyone in NW London, give this guy a wide berth.

He proceeded to undercut, pull along side the C-Max, trying to get the drivers attention. For whatever reason he then swerved into said car nearly causing it to crash into the central reservation. Not happy at leaving it at this the C-Max was now in the middle lane driver no doubt was pretty shook up. The Q8 driver then forced the driver to the hard shoulder.

Q8 passed me down the road on the A41 and up towards St Johns Wood

The guy needs locking up, not even having his license revoked is punishment for what this drive could have caused and the manner in which he acted. I have never seen anything as aggressive as this on the road ever. No idea what happened that led this phyco to drive like this, maybe said C-Max driver had a set too earlier up the road, but not an excuse for this moment of madness.

We got a card through our door once which has a 'non-emergency' police telephone number on it. If you Google, there may be a number for your area?

Definitely report it though!
