I followed one of the new XJ's today (no plates) in Black and it looked great with fantastic road presence. Big old thing but looked very good I thought and every bit a match for the German limos. Great to see Jag with a great range of motors, no duffers in the range if you ask me.

Jag are well on the up IMO, good selection of products that put their German rivals to shame, especially from aesthetics point of view.

Good on them IMO.

yep, have to agree. The new XJ is a damn fine machine, saw one on the road a few weeks back and damn near broke ma neck trying to get a longer look at it.

This is a fantastic interior.

Cant say im a fan of Jag's in all honesty although the interior posted above by Housey...that is nice

When i was following one not long ago i was surprised how big they are, looked better than in pictures as well in my opinion

When I saw it at first I wasn't convinced by the back of it, but spec it in gangsta black and it hides those really odd black C-pillars that contrast with the lighter coloured cars.

Seen loads around me, there are lots of JLR execs living round me and they've had them for 6 months already

Always had a soft spot for Jags so it's great to see them on the up. I think it was the XK that really kicked things off for them in terms of improvement. The XF and XJ have just moved things on for them massively.

I reckon it was the new diesels personally, the 3.0 S in the XF is the pick of the XF range IMO, you can tell its a diesel when it starts, but at idle outside, and at any revs inside you'd never know it was a diesel, so refined, and its got some serious twist to go with it :D

I have driven the 3.0 diesel in an XF extensively and I found it to be a pretty dull drive actually, fair enough it's a diesel but it didn't feel "right" with the gearbox. It just seemed a bit odd to me. It was quiet and refined though.

Well my dad hasn't killed himself yet, having gone from a privately owned E39 M5 to an E55 Estate to a non-S 3.0D XF company car, the gearbox seems much more up for it that the ancient 5 speeder in the Merc from the passenger seat, much more eager to rev and kick down, and the extra ratio is nice on the motorways.

Can't say I've driven it myself though :( Neither of us trust each other with our motors, family love and all

It amuses the that the Jag has so far been the least problematic of the 3 - A win British engineering :D

I still prefer the old car for looks, the new one does have a lovely interior though yes. I had a poke around one at the pre-release show they did in Coventry, I posted a thread about it last year. I did find though, that despite what Jaguar likes to think and what some of the people at Jaguar have said, it isn't quite up there with the Bentley inside, it's like a technology showcase compared to the Bentley but for fit and finish and detail, the Bentley still wins ...and the XJ specced up as high as you can go isn't that much cheaper than a Flying Spur either really, in fact it gets uncomfortably close.

Of course at the lower end of the XJ scale not the Super V8 lwb, it still has fundamentally the same interior and is much cheaper then and basically wipes the floor with anything near it in price as far as interiors go.

I am a massive Jaguar fan and the Jaguar XJ is my favourite ever car and this new model lives up to the expectation, I'm particularly glad that they've opened up more customisation for the interior on this one, some of those designs are odd but awesome! Love it :D

Now to wait 5 years and hope they depreciate like Jaguar's used to!

Huge fan of the new XJ, the interior is class leading without a doubt. Quite Bentley esque, a cut above anything offered by the Germans at present. Great to see them at the forefront.
