Looking for a good quality webcam to use to communicate with family and friends...i am aware most are 1.3mp but if i am holding up a document or something...so looking for something better. :)

I have this http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-010-MS quality is very good, runs at 1280x720 resolution at a smooth rate not sure exact fps but would say about 25-30 and it's pretty clear.

Worth the cash anyway considering now it's gone down some but bare in mind if you got Windows Vista you may have trouble installing software(i had it aswell as a lot of people but some were lucky) though Windows 7 has 0 issues. Also the stand is very very good, easily adjusts to sit on your monitor. :)

looking at the new logitech c270 thats comming out shortly... is this auto focus does anyone know?

I'm looking to get the Quickcam 9000 too and was wondering, are there any lights/leds on the front of the camera and does the software allow for image to be rotated/flipped?

I've tried the Lifecam Cinema before. Quality is good but one thing I don't like about it is that you can't download drivers for offline installation. The installer HAS to connect to the internet for its drivers and apps!

With the Quickcam 9000, does it actually offer a real increase in picture quality over other webcams using on WLM/Skype, baring in mind the compression to send over the net?
