exactly, some people are so deluded, especially the Clegg supporters. I don't much care who gets in as long as the system is given a kick (or even a nudge would do)

I do think the main party leaders especially Clegg are a bunch of slimeballs who would say anything to get in.

Clegg seems to be inventing policy as he goes along and he didn't have much to begin with. Just saying what the X-Factor electorate wants to hear.

I'm hoping for some proper fireworks in the final debate, although I don't think we will get them.

lol.

I feel improvements to the support structure of society are more important than disposable income.

In what way do we not have enough support ... if you cut the waste out of the NHS (management) then they will be able to offer better treatments.
If you take the bone idle scum off benefits then you can offer benefits to those who genuinely need it.

I find it hard to buy all this stuff about magical efficiency savings and scum on benefits. My experience shows that it normally ends up with across the board cuts and a deterioration in services. The people I know who have tried to claim tend to get no where. Although I have heard second hand of someone milking the system.

I would however love to see the dross cut out.

Probably some truth in the benefits thing.

The reason I would pay more tax is principally because I believe in investing in the future, not borrowing from it and squandering the wealth.

Jesus... :/

Is it just the Tory manifesto you get all your information from? Or do you refer to the Mail as well?

Once again, from the fb wall I occasionally creep, talking about how polls have been fixed, about how they don't want a posh guy like Cameron, they want a real honest everyday man like Clegg, about how PR is so great and FPTP so unfair etc etc, about how UK is a little boy in the world and should STFU etc.

Depressing stuff.

go on then prove it, tell everyone where your arrogance comes from.

Incidentally there is a lot more to society than academic intelligence.

But please do expand on your reason for self adulation and then perhaps we can all bow to your superior intellect.

a mensa certified iq of over 150?

The YouGov polls were, and are fixed, Clegg is posh and was a Tory (as was his father), FPTP is unfair and the UK isn't a little boy. My two pence.

I should also point out, that regarding first past the post, even though I do see it as being unfair, that doesn't necessarily mean that I want to see it gone. It has many, many merits just as a proportional system has many down sides.

I was about to post your clarification in response the FPTP bit :D You saved me a job.

(I wouldn't criticise Clegg on the group, they hug you instead of debating).

Hug you as in say "you're wrong you're wrong you're wrong no Dave or Gordon, blah blah" or hug and say "peace not love man"?

The Clegg bubble is beyond ridiculous, I mean, I'm all for my leftism, but not stupidity like this. Nick keeps talking about that 65 years of the UK being failed by Labour and the Tories, which I find even more offensive than the Tories telling us about how broken our society is. David Milliband put it rather well in a quote I posted above, ""Anti-politics is fine for opposition, but it is not sufficient for government." Which is all ok as the Liberal Democrats are still the third party, but it matters because of how Nick is presenting himself and his party.

Hug as in, peace not love, or rather, they can't argue:

e.g.
Me: "LibDems policies aren't sustainable due to a (ref), b (ref) and c (ref)."
1: "hug"
2: "lol, hug"
3: "hug"
4: "hug"
5: "hug"

Indeed. Besides, 65yrs of Labour/Con has actually done some good... I mean, look around! ! ! He's a moron (or at least his party).

Lol, I could do with some hugs, maybe I'll go and slate Nick on the Rage-like Lib Dem campaign page. :p

Yep, it's absolutely pathetic to say that we've experienced 65 years of failure, it's genuine nonsense.

It's not even disingenuous, it's borderline mental illness.

EDIT - I can't go near that group, they're talking about canvassing now using Obama techniques. Like it's come kind of political crusade.

Yougov polls have also called the past 2? election results spot on as well.
As well as the European elections, local elections, etc etc.

You cant fix opinion polls, only actual polls, as one has something to fix, and the other doesnt.

Who is to say that Slam62 doesn't have an IQ equally potent. (I admit it's unlikely), like we discussed in another thread you cannot assume that someone is less intelligent based on probability alone.

(I scored the maximum on the Cattell IIIB test for Mensa)

oh well that's it then, that's all you need:rolleyes:

I now bow to your every word.:p

scary

Not at all, it was simply a counter to your claim that anyone who disagrees with your position is stupid. I in no way implied any alternative idea regarding position and intelligence, nor that you should change your position as a result.

That seems pretty fraudulent to me. That married to the fact that virtually everyone I've spoken to (and granted, I could be part of selective circles in this regard) regarding both debates said that Cameron easily came off worst.

Also, this doesn't help:

AND there are claims that YouGov have been discarding certain data...
