In a world of my own
...now that I've become a dad for the first time.

Wife gave birth at 4:30 yesterday morning with a little help from a nice lady surgeon with a pair of forceps (after a really tough 48 hours of induced labour).

We now have a lovely baby girl (8 lbs 15 oz!) who is an absolute joy, mum and baby are home now and we are just starting to get to grips with how much our world has changed. We both managed to get some sleep last night which was nice too...

:)

Congratulations! Though I doubt you will get much more sleep anymore :p

I've had a little neice around for the last couple of years (not quite the same I know) and it really is great!

Congrats. My daughter had a vontoos (spelling) a bit like the tongs but a suction cup delivery after a long labour.

And the doctor go drenched, as all the water was behind my daughter. Was quite funny.

Look forward to the sleepless nights.

Congrats, you'll soon realise that the first few week were the easiest weeks of being a parent, though it feels nothing like it during this time! :)

Congrats. :):) It gets easier and more fun, enjoy your family. The more you do, as the man, with the little baby the easier you will find it as time goes on. Get stuck in and help with everything.

well done to both of you! this is just the beginning, the real sleepless nights are to come :p

you'll soon have her into a sleeping routine. it took 3 months for my little girl to realise day and night sleeping paterns :p lol. also, when she was sleeping she grunted and made funny noises a lot which kinda put me off falling asleep and kept waking me up!
