Matador fights for his life after being gored by a bull

My thoughts are that I have to question the sanity of anyone who wants to get chased by half a ton of raging bull with two sharp horns.

they are hardly raging bulls when they are full of tranqs and slashed so they lose loads of blood.

a proper healthy bull would probably easily have pretty much every modern bull fighter impaled on its horns

BullWin :D

No sympathy really, if the best thing you can do with your life is stab large angry animals slowly to death for a living, then its a shame the bull didnt head-stomp him as a finishing move, Mortak Kombat style!

Wonder if he'll live.... having drained the A- blood stock supply for people who actually deserve it.

I struggle to muster much sympathy for the bullfighter, I'm glad he isn't dead as it's rarely pleasant to hear of people dying but given what he has chosen to do his is not an injury I will mourn. The odds are always heavily stacked in the bullfighters favour as well - if it were just him and the bull in a ring to fight with nothing to weight the contest then I might have a modicum more respect, as it is the practice is barbaric and somewhat cowardly.

**** the **** ****s was my first reaction. I toned it down somewhat. It is a disgusting practice and I have no empathy or sympathy for anyone getting hurt by the bull.

My only feeling of sorrow is for the bull. This one and all the others that are tortured for a horde of screaming ****s.

So.... I'm guessing you're against it then, I'm having a hard job to know fur sure since you're being so subtle. :p

The sport certainly has changed a lot, however there is a lot of sensationalism either way (both pro and against it). Those that find it cowardly, I'd be interested to see how you'd fair in there! I don't think it's as easy as you think.

Again, I'm not defending it, just trying to offer a little bit of balance to the "OMG he's such a coward, hope he dies, lol" sort of reaction.

killing of anything for fun or entertainment is wrong really, even more so when they 'tamper' the bulls to make it less able to defend itself, not that it has much of a chance anyway :/

as for cultural experience, stoning people is in some places, I wouldn't do that either :P

good on the bull, i went to madrid and looked at the bullring - thats impressive but the sport itself is horrid, we were going to watch it but thought against it.

hope it gets banned soon but i doubt it. its like the equivelant of fox hunting here but i think the spanish are a little more stubborn then us brits against change.

Clearly they didn't rig the "fight" quite enough this time. I wonder if he'll be able to sue the organisers if he survives.

I should feel some sympathy for a person injured perhaps fatally, but I don't. He slowly kills already wounded animals for the entertainment of viewers. If someone did that on some sick site, strangling cats to excite viewers or something like that, there would be universal outrage.
