*** The Official HTC Desire (Bravo) Thread! ***

i wondered what H was also, most of the time im stuck on the G crawler.. light forums ie here, email and fb updates, light apps, ie ebay app, market place, thats all

my 2 16GB micro cards came today, £30 inc postage for the pair!! :D

im oing to simply copy the all the data from the 4gb to the 16GB..is that ok?

Okay huge freaking problem here people!

My dad liked my Desire so much that he got one on Orange today, this is all fine but putting his side by side next to mine I noticed that the pink tinging that I thought I was seeing but maybe it was just my eyes was in fact correct:

Think Carphone Warehouse will swap the handset for another one because that's pretty unacceptable

These phones including the Nexus One have a pinkish tinge to certain grey hues, that's just the way AMOLED on these devices work and how the technology is employed, you can notice it when viewing the HTC UK website on the handset or viewing the Gmail client, notice a pinkish tinge on some grey button areas.

Mine seems to be, when put side by side, way too OTT in areas that should not be pinkish at all.

Bah!

I see CPW have the desire listed under o2 and i wanted to get one tomorrow, but the deals same crap?

£30 a month for 24 months for unlimited texts and 600 mins, but no data?

Well using my phone to usb tether is about 5000x better than my vodafone dongle was on the train!

Thats the finishing touch to my justification of getting the phone (:

More than likely a network issue so more thanks to orange but just nice to be able to go on the internet on my laptop at more than 3, 2 minute points in a 4 hour journey xD

Just checked out Orange's network coverage on their site. No 3G where I live apparently, but I do live in the butt end of nowhere, and when at home I'll be using my WiFi anyway.

The city itself has HSDPA and 3G so that's fine by me. :)

looking at mine with the brightness turned right down, I see the pink/purple but it's not as pronounced as yours khaaan(is it really that bright or is it the flash on the camra bringing it out that much. I only have tomorrow left in the 28 days exchange if faulty(I got it on payg from cpw on 30 march), I've been trying to decide if I should take it back or just keep it.

Tempted to get the Dolphin 30 deal on Dialaphone. I'll need to ring up though as my address doesn't show when entering my postcode and it doesn't let me enter it manually either? :/

Menu > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Network Settings > Use 2G only

APNDroid widget to kill mobile data completely

Surely there must be a simple setting in the phone to terminate active packet data connections?

On a Nokia you simply press and hold 'Red'?

i just use the sense toggle button i have n my home screen
