I've got to print out a poster I just made for a class presentation and it just wont do what I want!

The poster is six A4 sheets of paper in size in a landscape layout.

So 59.7cm wide and 63cm high but no matter how many times I try, it wont print out on 6 A4 sheets lol. It keeps trying to print out on 8 which makes the margins truly enormous and the poster HAS to be submitted on six sheets.

Ideas?

No idea how to use publisher but have you checked in your printer driver settings, rather than publisher? there might be an option for printing across multiple pages.

Failing that, try something like blockposters.com which takes an image and tiles it across multiple sheets for print.

...failing that post the image up here and i'm sure someone will trim it down for you:)

My printer "appears" to be set up correctly but who knows lol. Its a HP 4280 all in one thing and luckily it can do decent borderless printing.

Problem is its specifying to print on 8 A4 pages instead of 6 and I havent got a clue how to change that. It tries to centre the poster in those A4 sheets so on all of the outer sheets theres a massive white gap lol.

Sadly that website wont do what I need as even at my native res, if I take a printscreen of the poster, the text isnt readable so the final result would be poor quality.

I've got a feeling its something to do with the custom size of the sheet but can't find an option related to multi page printing from it :(

Does publisher not have an option to export a high resolution image?

Edit, found a way of exporting as a JPEG and the font quality suffers badly (which is bad for a poster). Tried it on blockposters.com regardless and it STILL gives me 8 A4 pages as the pdf LOL.

The canvas is 59.4cm wide and 63cm long, aka 2 A4 landscape sheets wide (29.7x2) + 3 A4 landscape sheets long (21x3)

Why cant it ******* print like this?!

Even though I choose landscape, print preview shows it as portrait.

Such a crap program honestly

Given up. Print preview just showed it as bang on what I wanted so I printed it and its missed off a character down the entire centre of the poster lol. ******* crap program!
