** Steam Deal: Grand Theft Auto Classics £4.24 (1, 2, 3 ,4, SA and VC) **

Im so annoyed have missed all the deals this week as I have been at my gf's :( Hope this lasts till I get home from work tonight.

Im starting to get a bit annoyed with steam because of these kind of short sales, i reckon overall they have a more negative effect, as more gamers will miss them and all it does is cause frustration and a sense of unfairness about missing out while others get lucky, its not worth it, they need to be more reasonable, if i were them i would prefer to make everyone happy like with the other sales, if it's to be short it should be at least 12 to 24 hours.

I agree. For every person that manages to catch a 2 hour sale, there must be at least 3 people who would have bought it but didn't get the chance. I still think they will list the lot individually on the last day. The only downside to that would be if people missed the sale but then paid full price .....

I think they're still experimenting to be honest. The whole xmas sale was one big 'How much will people buy at price X? How much at price Y?"

Now they're adding time limits to the mix to see what effect it has.

But what about us guinea pigs that didn't make the cut... It's like the vaccine didnt work on us and we are dieing with out GTA :(

Look, it's all cheap games. You might miss out on some, but there will always be more. The more Valve can show publishers that people will buy massive amounts of games below a certain price point, the more cheap games we'll get.

I would bet money on seeing at least as good a deal again within six months.

<smug>Course, I can take this laid back and entirely philosophical view, since I didn't miss the sale :) </smug>

Saw this late last night and managed to grab it, email receipt shows 23:57 :p

Thats my bank holiday weekend sorted :D

Vertical mouse sens is fubar in VC for me (doesn't change when i lower the bar in game :() Apparently its a common issue and I can get round it by lowering windows/mouse driver settings.
And in San Andreas there are no 16:9 resolutions with the current v3 patch meaning I have to download a dodgy 1.01 exe to play at 1920x1080
